   Recently - a writer for USA TODAY picked the Colts to go to the Super Bowl this season.  It should be noted that this same writer selected the two participants of last seasons Super Bowl correctly prior to the season.

 

   Should Colts fans consider this lofty selection to be a burden - or - a blessing ??

A blessing that a writer knows there's a team in Indy.  I'll bet there will still be more Tebow stories on ESPN than anything about the Colts.

I will view the USA writer's prediction as neither a burden nor a blessing, but wise foreshadowing or a harbinger for lack of a better word. 

 

To put it another way, "anything that foreshadows a future event; omen; sign: Frost is a harbinger of winter." The writer's words are a sign of predestined greatness just on the horizon i.e.

Anybody can predict anything NFL in June ..and no one remembers if you're wrong.

.. to be picked by some distant jamoke to win the Super Bowl in June will only surface again if were 3-5 and Skip Bayless needs a subject

I don't think the Colts really care or pay attention to this kind of thing.
