Broncos to release Champ Bailey - He's Open To Playing Safety

According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com, the Broncos are going to release 12-time Pro Bowler Champ Bailey,

 

“I just want to see what people will want me to do. My vision is to still play corner, but I’m a little more open-minded about the season I had last year.” Bailey said. “I’m a corner at heart. If a situation made sense to play safety, then I would consider it.” - Bailey

I must admit champ is a smart player!!! Players with champs ability tend to be hard headed and not open minded about playing other positions. There EGO gets in there way. For champ to publicly say he will play another position means he is willing to admit he is not young anymore but can still play

Champ is wicked smart. I will never doubt his football I.Q., but he was saddled with nagging foot injuries this season. The mind is able, but the body just isn't what it once was. He should hang it up & retire, but some team will give him a shot for another year I think.
