21isSuperman Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 2 of the NFL's biggest stars have signed extensions. Peterson has reached an 8 year, $100 mil deal with $36 mil guaranteed. Meanwhile, Polamalu signed a 4 year deal that will pay him about $9 mil a season. At least they don't have to worry about signing their stars anymore. Both players are the best on their teams in my opinion.
ReMeDy Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I'd feel better about the Peterson signing if he hadn't fumbled those balls to rob Brett Favre of a Superbowl. Regardless, if Fat Albert can get his money, then yea, Peterson needed his too.
Steagles Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Glad to see Troy re signed. I like the steelers. I have lots of friends from PA
CR91 Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 come on rbs are not worth that much money. there only useful for 9 years unlike qbs and wrs who play and perform for up to 12-15

The second he stepped into the NFL, he has been one of the best. He is the face of the Vikings franchise. You wouldn't pay AP big money?

eaglejoe8 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 AP's deal is likely just to keep him for life. He'll obviously never see all of that contract, and like most deals of that nature, it's likely structured where they can get out of it after 3 or 4 years with little cap hit.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a front-loaded deal...not sure how the deal works or how that fits in with the CBA, just a guess
