2024-2025 Pacers and all NBA talk, new thread folks

Pacers made the Final 4 last season by defeating the Knicks 4-3 in the 2nd Round. They went into NY for Game 7 and took the Knicks out! Can the Pacers get back to the Final 4 again or maybe make the Finals or even win it all? It's anyone's guess. The Celtics won the NBA Championship, so they are the team to beat as of now. Pacers are running it back, they are bringing back Pascal, McConnell, and Nembhard and will basically have the same team as they did in 2024. Tyrese Haliburton/Myles Turner and the crew will be back to start the 2025 season. Haliburton is coming off a season where he led the NBA in Assists and won a Gold Medal playing for Team USA.

 

My early projection for the Pacers = 51-31 and a 4 seed.

2. PG - Magic Johnson (Known as a Lakers player)

3. SF - LeBron James (Mainly known as a Cavs/Heat player)

4. C- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Mainly known as a Lakers/Bucks player)

5. SG - Kobe Bryant (Known as a Lakers player)

6. C - Wilt Chamberlain (Mainly Known as a Warriors/Sixers/Lakers player)

7. SF - Larry Bird (Known as a Celtics player)

8. C - Shaq O'Neal (Maily known as a Lakers/Heat player)

9. PG/SG - Steph Curry (Known as a Warriors player)

10. C/PF -Bill Russell (Known as a Celtics player)

@2006Coltsbestever  Dikembe Motumbo died. My older sister lives in Georgia and his wife and my sister knew each other. Motumbo coached my sister's boys. My sister and her husband were very fond of Dikembe.

Yep, I seen that, good player and great person. Sad day. RIP big guy, he was only 58.

Yep. People are dying too young. My sister told me about six months ago that he had been sick. I remember telling her that whatever he had is deadly. I think Gary Carter and Chris Doleman had the same type of cancer.
