Arthur Jones Injury Status (Merge)

He was actually projected to be 3rd rd. pick by most analysts, thats why Colts went for best player available and took Dorsett who I believe the Pats had on their draft board too

According to who?

NFL draft scout had him as the #21 overall prospect: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1996819/malcom-brown

Walter Football had him as a first rounder: http://walterfootball.com/draft2015DT.php

Mel Kiper (who sucks, but just covering my bases here cause I'm not sure where you're coming from): said Brown was a steal at 32: http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/cfb/133246/malcom-brown

Todd McShay's last mock before the draft had him going #23 overall: http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft/mock/?season=2015&version=6&source=Todd-McShay-Mock-Draft

I'm not going to say that the Colts should have drafted Brown, because they had plenty of reasons not to. Henry Anderson's a good player, Philip Dorsett's a good player, and Art Jones is a good player when healthy. The picks Grigson made were defensible, at minimum. But the claim that Brown was regarded as a third-round prospect is simply untrue. He was universally, across the board recognized as a first round prospect who the Pats were lucky fell to 32.
