Broncos are struggling with the new offense...

Peyton throw 17 passes in a half...The run-throw ratio seems the same..

But they aren't protecting him as well and that seems exaggerated by the time it takes for him to drop back.

The run game looks good..the defense gets a lot of sacks..

...but they are adjusting to a new offense with a young line and it shows

..and the 49ers Navarro Bowman seems back to 100% after getting hurt in the 2013 playoffs

..moving well..hitting hard

I was over on the Orange Mane and they said Manning looks the same as he did in the post-season last year in terms of his ability to get any zip on the down field throws. One poster said they felt that ESPN reporting that Manning has no feeling in his fingertips even though that has been the case since 2012 was his way of letting people know he is not 100 percent physically. I really don't buy that but it is interesting that he is not wearing the glove at all. Perhaps he has lost more feeling and wants the ball on his bare hand? Still, I think any issues are more due to the new offense than anything physical.

 

Brock has looked pretty good. The Denver defense looks dynamite. They will carry this team in a lot of games this season I think if need be.

But SF blitzed him in drop back mode..and the backs couldn't pick it up..

They play KC in week 2...Thursday night...That o-line will be tested fast

Yeah, I think the Manning talk is silly at this point. It is preseason. The line still needs to gel and he is still getting comfortable with the offense.

 

I do think the defense looks scary good though. We will see how it all progresses in the regular season.
