Really? All of these posts about Luck had better do better when they play NE. You want me to believe that you are just talking about the KC game in a vacuum. You've been talking about him as if he were a turnover machine. Maybe subconsciously you are trying to force your will on the outcome of the game, but make no mistake, one game does not tell the whole story and is not a good predictor of future perfomance. The Pats' D is not as good as KC's D. He had one bad outing against a really good D. Look at his performance over the course of the year. If you have to roll the dice, bet on him NOT turning the ball over.

All of my comments were in the context of the KC game and of course there is roll over to this next game in terms of how he needs to perform. I am not the only one saying he needs to not have the TOs. The Pats D has a lot of picks this year so while they may not be KC, they are very good at taking the ball away. What makes you so sure he won't turn the ball over? I think it is 50/50 especially if the Colts get down early.

Well duh...Of course he doesn't need to turn the ball over. no offense needs to turn it over. I am not so sure he won't. I'm saying, that the season + the postseason game against KC would indicate that he will in all likelihood turn the ball over 0.705 times this game. So, based on his average INTs per game, I would bet that he will throw 1 pick. In other words, don't count on replicating the same defensive performance as KC.

Our D has been improving, but our secondary is still suspect.  It's only been doing better because we got Jarret Johnson and Melvin Ingram back and we're getting better pressure from every angle.  With them back, Weddle is now free to be blitzing occasionally.

Also with them back, Pagano has been doing some very creative blitzes.  Peyton can smell even the whiff of a blitz - so our dbs and cbs are going to have to have the best game of their season for us to pull this off over Denver.

I have a gut feeling that we've been holding back some pass plays specifically for Denver against their weak D.

Remember, Mike McCoy was Peyton's OC last year, he knows him really well and their offensive personnel really well.   The SD players who were picked up by Denver (Shawn Philips comes to mind) only know the old and the old personnel  - we only have 7 players left from our playoff team of 2009 still active.

I honestly do not know how this game will turn out.  If we continue the trend of getting better this week than last - we've got an even chance.  I wouldn't be surprised for it to go either way.
