Redskins DEs Carricker out 4-5 months and Jarvis Jenkins Suspended

Defensive end Adam Carriker had surgery on his problematic right quadriceps tendon and is expected to need four to five months to recover, Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said.

He was their 2nd round pick in 2011, missed entire rookie season with torn ACL. Filled in for Carriker in 2012.

Now the redskins will start the season without both DEs

OLB Rob Jackson is also serving a 4 game suspension. The redskins defensive players are dropping like flies.

snake bit...a starting DE and the top backup DE....top 2 back up LBs. Unknowns in the secondary with young draft picks and a guy returning from knee injury. Not off to a good start for sure.

They play each other next year if I'm not mistaken, we play the NFC East next year

heh...there are something like 3-4 different threads going on now about the skins here. I assume whatever rivalry is there is strictly between the fan bases (in the broad sense) or the talking heads who want to debate Luck vs RG3. Outside of them, its not even a blip on the radar in terms of rivalries. If they meet in a superbowl or two, then who knows...
