Yea I'd prefer Avril at this point as well. He has experience in both 34s and 43s. He may be cheaper also. Even if he is 10 mil a year hes still cheaper than D frees 19 mil last season. Avril with Short in front or beside him would be a nice combo. Our d should have both better pass rushing and coverage this year. We should make a good jump in defensive rankings.

I like Avril because his stat sheet actually warrants the $ he wants.
