Could be a bargain if he stays healthy////But its a little high for what he's actually done..

Still..he was an undrafted free agent..........its probably huge money to him

I think this was a "have to make this move to show that players on rookie contracts mean something to me at their end". Elway gambled and lost, this is his way of admitting it. If he had placed a 2nd round tender on C.J.Anderson, nobody touches him. Adam Gase called his bluff and Elway lost, either by having to re-sign C.J.Anderson or by losing CJ, IMO.

Or, they wanted him back but were making room for the QB Fitzpatrick.//

..and when Fitz turned them down due to a low cash bid////they had the money for CJ....Denver has no problems letting starting running backs go.. but they like him..

 

the signing of Okung indicates the chase for Fitz is done..They got a low-priced QB )Sanchez) and can draft one in the 1st round

Great move re-signing CJ. He's young, protected by a RB by committee philosophy, & he usually gets about 4 yards per carry on the ground. Elway had to retain Anderson at all costs.
