Browns Transition Tag Alex Mack

Wasnt aware of their cap situation. I hate all these franchise tags. If the NFLPA wasnt so weak, they would be gone. Mack seems to want to go elsewhere. But he's not. Seems like the Browns are basically just bullying him into signing a long term deal even tho he might not want to. Since they're going to match any contract.

 

Actually, everything Mack has said implies that he wants to remain in Cleveland. However, when Cleveland's new GM was hired, Mack was out of the country for a month doing volunteer work and just returned this past weekend. Obviously that did not leave them much time to hammer things out.

Mack has said all along that he would give the Browns the opportunity to match any offer he received, all this tag did was make that position official.
