Everyone screams that the billionaire owners are evil and greedy. Here’s an owner spending 20 million of his own money on a single cause that is actually decent. Which other owners are spending 20M on a single charitable cause? Jones? The Rooneys? Kraft? Kronke? People trying to compare this with the Taylor situation… that is business. This isn’t business. Here’s an owner doing something everyone loves to say they don’t do, and should do more of and instead of acknowledging him for it they’ve somehow turned it into a punchline. It’s ridiculous, really.

Indeed it is. And I don’t particularly care for it playing out as AR is spending his first summer in the building. As much normalcy as we could afford him would have been ideal. Not to mention us fans could have certainly used a little quiet normalcy as well after the %show that was last season. I actually had tickets to practice today and yesterday and didn’t even go because this whole thing has me so perturbed.

I’m disappointed in everyone involved here. I have beat the Taylor drum since that first start against the Vikings. I saw it that day. He’s always seemed like a stand-up team first guy. Apparently I was misled. This new agent he’s fallen in with is a turd in the punchbowl, and they’re not even willing to acknowledge the reality of the situation. I’m disappointed in Irsay and Ballard for not being able to talk this situation in off the ledge behind closed doors and especially Irsay for not doing more than he has to keep it from devolving further. This whole thing would have been handled much better if there was a single competent * adult in the room. But here we are.

This guy needs to change his legal name to * Hole because all he’s doing is holding % up.

What a %show this has turned into. Might as well send in the clowns, it can only turn into a 3 ring circus from here.

If Richardson is starting by then, talk about your tough out. Facing Belichick as a rookie QB halfway around the world… could definitely make for a long day.

Have there been any indications of having him do any work with Tom House to flesh out his mechanics? Seems like that would definitely be something he could benefit from.

Hey, let’s try something different. We’ve got this QB grooming coach, let him work with both. If they feature both of them well, after a season or two some team is gonna come calling and we’re gonna be ready to let one of them go. We’re gonna be able to get an attractive 1st round pick out of him and more, so it’s an investment that pays off. I like it more than the inevitable trade down. We all acknowledge how Richardson is a boom or bust prospect, why not have Levis, of all people, as his backup/insurance? I certainly think it’s something Steichen could do.

Who knows. But my point remains the same even if it’s NOT Arch. If Richardson flames out we’re just gonna be in position to draft another one, maybe even higher in a couple years. We’re not gonna get stuck in the middle with this guy.

Even if Richardson is a complete and total bust the likes of which we’ve never seen before or we’ll ever see again what’s the worst thing that happens? We find ourselves in position to draft Arch Manning in a couple years? Please, no, not that! Anything but that! This is all chips in. It was the only move for all involved. I love it.
