Okay, that was not a good showing by our Colts, or at least the far backup Colts. The first half was not entirely bad for the Colts EXCEPT for the 107-yard kickoff return touchdown by Goodwin. Special teams needs major improvement. The starters played well which is what is the most important. No devastating injuries. The starters were winning the game until the third string and further came in. We had some good stops in the red zone early on but midway through the second quarter the team ful
A lot of analysts have talked about the teams in the NFL with the best roster. They mentioned the Broncos, Seahawks, Texans, and 49ers but I think the Colts should be in the discussion. I know a lot of our players are not proven but we still have a good roster that is overlooked: Quarterback - Andrew Luck*, Matt Hasselbeck, Chandler Harnish A future NFL legend starting at QB with a veteran backup who has over 30,000 passing yards and made it to the Super Bowl and Chandler Harnish which I'll adm
Now I know a lot of people don't pay any attention to Bleacher Report due to their stupidity, but they struck again. Yesterday on Bleacher Report they were listing the "Off-Season Awards" such as "Best Off Season", "Best Free Agent", "Worst Free Agent", "Worst Off- Season, etc. So when the award for "Worst Off Season" came around it listed the Colts. How can they have the worst off season out of all 32 NFL Teams that still includes the Jaguars and Jets. They said that the Colts got poor free age
The Colts have the 3rd easiest schedule in the NFL in 2013, but that might not mean a thing. Even if it isn't easy, the Colts can find ways to win tough games. So, what do you think their record will be? I think they will be able to get at least 10 wins but I expect them to get around 11 to 13 win. With improved defense and enhanced offense, how far can this team go?
1. More Offensive Weapons Andrew Luck had WR Reggie Wayne to throw the ball to the entire year but did not have all of his other offensive weapons.Donnie Avery also played the entire year but had the worst drop rate among wide receivers with 16.67%, tied with T.Y. Hilton.T.Y. Hilton may have had a high drop rate, but finished the season strong out-performing Reggie Wayne over the final games of the season.T.Y. Hilton has made a commitment in training camp if he drops a pass he must run more laps

Luck is too smart. As he is wise beyond is years. What sophomore slump are the critics and media talking about? He will succeed beyond his rookie year. Want to bet?!
Football season is a year round tradition for me.. I am always looking forward to NFL news, and player updates! But the season is upon us, and I am excited more than ever for football to kick off! I feel like the Colts are hungry again. Luck will be looking to prove himself once more and our young talent(s) should put on a great show. I miss the guarantees we had in Peyton Manning of being pretty much playoff bound. But more then that I miss the way we had to earn every win. Luck and our
There are several "keys" to success in the NFL, the key to the Colts success in years to come.....starts with Coach Pagano, I have always felt that when a coach or player grows up around football, he takes everything to another level, football is in their blood and they "get it", before I go any further, I will re address a topic............there are not alot of "leaders" in the NFL , that get it, all it takes to figure that out,is name how many organizations, win, over and extended period of ti

A Royal Baby Boy is born in Buckingham Palace. As the un named boy so far. Weighed in at eight pounds and that he is the third in line for the palace of king. Kate and William are doing just fine. Tired but excited indeed!
There have been several debates over the legacy of the Polian regime. Many have sited the past success with other teams along with the current success the Colts have had under the Polians as a barometer to determine how well (Or not well) they did their job. For me personally, I feel that Polian did his best work as a GM when he was with the Carolina Panthers. I say that because when I look at the teams he helped build, from Buffalo to Indy the most balanced team of all three was the Panthers. T
If there's anything that can be said about the new regime running the Colts front office, it's that these guys will take a chance on players they see make plays over players who have all the hype usually associated with big names. Instead of going after high profile players who would demand big contracts, last year GM Ryan Grigson signed unheralded yet productive players like Jerrell Freeman, Corey Redding, and relied on a list of rookies who flat out produced on both sides of the ball. With the
Hope that you all have a great and a safe July 4th. As we remember our Independence Day. Hope that you all have a safe and a great July 4th. As freedom was and always has been and always will be brought at a price. On another note. Will be just hanging with my family. Nothing out of the ordinary!
On offense, it all starts around Luck, when you have a QB as great as he is, you will have a chance to win any game, any sunday. There are plenty of weapons in the passing game and the 2 TE's will probably be featured more this year, along with the running game becoming more of a priority, Bradshaw will give that a boost, teaming with Ballard to give us a very good duo, the O-line was the area that really needed to be upgraded and it was, time will tell, if it was upgraded enough. Heyward-Bey, I
CB: Davis-Toler-Butler-Vaughn-Gordy Davis had a very good first year with the team and more is expected this year, has the ability to be one of the best? Toler is somewhat unproven, but has all the tools to be a very good player and has looked great....Butler is one of the better #3 CB's around.....Vaughn has been targeted by some, he isn't a great player and probably not starting material, but as a #4 CB, I think has some value....Gordy adds depth and is very good on the special teams S: Bethea
DE: Redding-Moala Redding adds much needed leadership and experience for a young team..........Moala has played well and could get more reps going forward NT: Franklin-Chapman-Hughes I think Franklin will open the season as the starter, but see Chapman taking over, sooner, rather than later.....Hughes is a force, just waiting to happen and has elite-level ability (potential) DT: Jean Francois-Nevis-Mathews Jean Francois is another player who provides leadership and experience and is a proven pla
TE: Allen-Fleener-Cunningham-Saunders Allen is on the verge of stardom after a great rookie season........Fleener wasn't a big factor as a rookie , but has the abilty to make this group one of the leagues best and should be a major contributer this year......Cunningham brings oustanding blocking and can be a factor in the passing game, at times grade: B T: Costonzo-Cherlius-Ijalana-Linkenbach Costonzo has gotten better each year and may never be elite, but is a quality player............Cherlius
QB: Luck-Hasselbeck-Harnish Luck will just get better each year and as good as he was last year, should be alot better in year #2 as he fine tunes the very few flaws in his game............Hasslebeck provides proven big time insurance ............ Harnish shows promise but don't see him making the team grade: A+ FB: Havili A sure fire change of attitude with a true FB RB: Bradshaw-Ballard-Brown-Carter-Wiliams I thought we were in decent shape before Bradshaw was signed, He gives us another prove
It's LeBron being LeBron. I have never been a fan of his for many reasons. He looks like a decent family man and takes great care of his kids + has never been in trouble with the law so I respect him for that - he is also a Great Basketball player, best today. Having said that his ego is outrageous, he left Cleveland in his prime because he couldn't win a Championship. Peyton Manning for example never thought about leaving Indy because he couldn't win for years against the Pats and Steelers in
Yes, that is a fair point some individuals just like to stir the pot & cause controversy & mayhem simply because their life has not turned out as well as they wish it had. Like it's somebody's else's fault that they don't make enough money or have a pretty girlfriend or any girlfriend for that matter.
Look, I'm not trying to minimize any fatality white, black, male, or female & I know that being a police officer is not an easy job. I get that. I just wanna get to an atmo
I am getting ready to get off work so I will have to respond to your Post tomorrow in more detail but all great points. Racism will probably never go away unfortunately as there are just people in this world that are ignorant and violent. I am not sure how anyone can solve some of the violence talking place. It just seems to get worse and worse with groups of people getting shot in night clubs, theaters, etc. for no reason. White cops aren't doing themselves any favors either by shooting unarmed
Thank you CBE for your response to my blog entry. I know how busy peoples daily lives are so I am grateful for feedback & different points of view on this subject matter.
Max Kellerman on ESPN 'First Take' has made the intriguing argument that in America anyway the Natl. Anthem standing up during it is a mandatory gesture of compliance as opposed to a voluntary one where dissent is frowned upon & even called out publicly if you refuse to stand up while the Star Spangled Bann
Here's my short take on Colin and what is going on: I have no problem with people protesting about something they believe in or serious matters like racism, that is everyone's right to do so. Where I have the problem is dissing the American flag. It doesn't accomplish anything and it really gets many people to dislike you and question why you are doing that. To me it's dissing the Military and the USA when you don't acknowledge the flag. All you are doing is drawing negative attention to yoursel
I hope you're hanging in there brother as well as can be expected given such heart wrenching circumstances. Miss you man. I'm here if you need me. God bless, my friend.
YSGC,
Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.
Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:
"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear" Awesome!
When are people going to realize that the offensive line talent in last year's draft, outside of La'ell Collins, just wasn't that good? Sure we could've used a couple of picks on some mediocre o-line talent, and people would be right here, with their 20/20 hindsight, saying that they were terrible picks, and that Grigson should be fired.
Instead, we took a WR. People didn't like the pick, as the Colts allegedly were already "stacked at WR." Well, fast forward to this year: Johnson is
