Amendola restructures and stays with Pats

The Pats are keeping Amendola on a new deal:

 

The new deal will be worth $12.75 million over three years and carries a maximum value of $15 million with roster bonuses and incentives, a source told Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran. 

Amendola was scheduled to make $4 million in 2015 and count $5.7 million against the Patriots salary cap.

While the new deal lowers the amount he was originally scheduled to make in base salary over the next three years of his deal, he can still earn $15 million -- equal to the amount of his original base salaries for the 2015 (4 million), 2016 ($5 million), 2017 ($6 million) seasons -- if he hits his incentives.

On his original deal, Amendola was scheduled to earn up to about $16.5 million total over the next three years.

 

I am digging this as Amendola started to come on the second half of the season and had a really nice post-season for us.
