Blitzed up the Middle

Our tackles are pretty good....clearly the weakness has been on the inside....this year and past but I think they are doing ok. I think teams see that we have a back up center and guards and are going after it. Also Luck loves to step up into the pocket and buy time and he doesn't have running lanes if they come up the middle. Its the great equalizer of almost any qb is pressure up the middle. Luck could DEFINATELY do better recognizing pre-snap coverages and making adjustments...I think Satele was making a lot of calls when he was here which could be why he stuck around even though he couldn't block. All that said we are going to continue to see pressure up the middle....but I think we dealt with it ok against Philly and hope Luck continues to grow as a young qb to make the right reads. Peyton wasn't doing what he is doing now in a couple years...it took him many years to master his skill...and I'm sure it will take Luck just as long.
