BpG
I saw Joe Haden Retweet this. This is a fantastic article. The Dark Side of NFL Free AgencyBy Matt Bowen , NFL National Lead Writer Mar 6, 2014 The Dark Side of NFL Free Agency EVAN VUCCI/Associated Press Dick Jauron called right in the middle of dinner at my grandma’s house. Food on the table down in Tampa, my aunt and uncle in town, my wife holding our newborn baby boy Matthew on her knee. Joe Gibbs called right after I touched down in Las Vegas for a weekend with my brother and cousin. I didn’t even make it to baggage claim before the phone rang. Dang. They got me. Two calls…in March. That’s trouble when you are an NFL veteran still under contract. I let both calls go to voicemail. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1981203-the-dark-side-of-nfl-free-agency Edited March 6, 2014 by 21isSuperman Please don't copy/paste full articles
Iancolts
Great article. The NFL salaries looks like a lot to us fans. But he is right no hometown discounts considering they could be in a wheel chair or brain damage in one single play! They need to cash in then ride off into the sunset. Track Guy
Being an athlete can be glorious but it can be very hard too. I didn't wind up going into football, I ran track in college as my user name would indicate, but I can only imagine the added stress that getting hit brings to the equation. They're all still grossly overpaid, but I can't fault any individual player for trying to get as much as he can.
