  1. I do hope Freeland earns the RT spot. We need more power inside than Fries can generate.
  2. Thank you Nathan for these telling charts, and thank you so much Chloe for this data that actually makes things clear. Seeing AR's chart week after week would be fun/interesting. I didn't notice AR using his eyes to move/freeze the safeties. He probably did, but he is very bright and will be good at it. Something has to give with reliable production from Pierce. I know his hard work will give us Something. lol
  3. Perhaps Jax is a good, well coached team that out played us in certain aspects. We watched our D make a bunch of excellent plays too. Hey, what a novel idea that Steichen and his staff will use the players they have over say at least the first half of the season to build on our future. We can figure there will be 4-5 new starters next season as Steichen and Ballard look for and go after better talent fits. I would take a few years of Mike Evans. And love Austin Ekelor for half what Taylor believes he is worth.
  4. Wrong. He banked on Pryor coming back in the best shape of his life. Pryor admitted he went home after the season knowing he had this great opportunity, and he put on 20 lbs getting up into the 360's. He came to camp to get back into shape, back down into the 340's. He screwed Ballard, the team and himself. The good news was Ballard drafted Raimann, who got thrown to the wolves and by the last half of the season he went up against the best, game after game and was holding his own. Yes, Ballard doubled down on a good player in Raimann. Fries is not the long term answer, but watching every pass play from yesterday's game one should admit his pass protection was quite solid. He plays with to high a pad level to knock guys off the line. Did you clowns watch Glo getting destroyed last night?
  5. His route that got broken up around the end zone was very sad. No attempt to set up the defender at all, casually rounded off. It's bewildering in year two. I will rewatch the game to better observe the run blocking. We sure weren't creating any gaps from Kelly, Fries, Smith. And I would prefer that we move on from Jackson.
  6. I focused on the O-Line. #1 Josh Allen is a superb player for any RT to go up against. He got his in this game. You see a good amount of blitzes where their blitzers came in free. AR made a number of good throws with them coming in his face, and some rushed throws off target. These would be labeled throw aways by a Brady in some cases, but his strong arm had him still trying to get them there. DJackson got blown up once trying to pick up a blitzes, Raimann gave up a sack on a stunt, Smith gave up one easy sack, and another possibly when Allen caught AR from behind. Bottom line, Jax looked well prepared to defend our passing game, they blitzed effectively, but I would say AR was pretty good, well prepared for it. He had a good pocket for his 3 step drop quicker throws. This is the base for the passing game so a solid first game in that area. We have a Big Pierce problem.
  7. Allen got around Smith twice and caught AR from behind. Granson is a poor blocker and often isn't in sink with the guy beside him. So he makes a couple catches, yippee.
  8. Wooohoooo!!!! Run them into the ground! Great hopes for the futures of Raimann, Flowers, Qwity, Cross, our slot kid and others. And No more Frank. Got my Q hat on. Go Colts!!!!!
  9. Or, in reality, Taylor wants to assure interested parties he will be able to immediately help a team as soon as he becomes eligible, AND signs his new contract. And, the sooner they acquire him the sooner he can get into the playbook.
  10. 1/3 The most experienced, Greatest QB's of All-time completed about 66%. I have been anguished over so many painful drops and near misses for 56 years that I am going to be just fine with AR's learning curve. Manning 100 Int.s in his first 5 years won't be challenged and he won't throw nothing like the 100 mph fastballs that Elway did for 15 years. The Big Question for me is, how long before the NFL changes the rule for pushing him for first downs. Will we have 50+ this season. It wouldn't shock me.
  11. Definitely like being able to elevate players from the PS. And our PS WR group has never been better.
  12. I don't pick games I just watch them. But today going up against your thoughts sounds like fun. Panthers 17 vs. Falcons 31. I will take the under Falcons scoring 28. Bengals 27 vs. Browns 34. Bengals 27 Browns 20 Jags 31 vs. Colts 24. Jags 27 to 20 Bucs 17 vs. Vikings 27 Titans 27 vs. Saints 24 Saints 27 to 20 49ers 23 vs. Steelers 27 49ers 27 to 24 Cards 13 vs. Commanders 24 Texans 24 vs. Ravens 41 Packers 24 vs. Bears 28. Bears 27 to 23 Raiders 20 vs. Broncos 27 Eagles 27 vs. Pats 20 Dolphins 34 vs. Chargers 27 Rams 24 vs. Seahawks 31 Cowboys 34 vs. Giants 20 Monday Night Football Bills 34 vs. Jets 21. Bills are not scoring 34 on the greatest D since the Bears. Haha! Frank Reich and game 1s never end well. Browns, Steelers and Dolphins come in swinging at the beginning of the season. Let us see how my predictions go.
  13. Got a good laugh out of Tyson. And this was more entertaining than their mcast.
  14. I'm sure he has worked very hard to get back to as good as possible. Deep down he wants to lock in the $15.6M for this season. Just making the opening game roster does this. I hope he has fun and is once again a real difference maker.
  15. Couldn't be more excited. Only gonna make me enjoy his long snaps that much more.
  16. The extra roughly 20 lbs he carries over Fries hopefully figures into our short yardage attack plans. It is possible one of them is our starting RG for 2024 and beyond. But I have zero doubt plan A is to have that position manned at a high level ASAP. And the reason a mediocrity like Risner gets no traction.
  17. Glow was decent. He had 4-5 good games a season. Good matcheups for him I suspect. He would have an equal number of not very good games. And he hasn't been" good" in NY.
  18. I expect his times targeted #s to drop significantly. Ballard has lived and died providing us with big 50/50 ball guys. He and Frank failed miserably going that route. AR needs to make Pittman and Pierce look much better for sure.
  19. Actually Irsay has spoken how the QB decision is his call. He was so excited pre-draft he slipped about the 12th man aspect of Steichen's Philly offense. There is no doubt in my mind Steichen sold both of them on Richardson being teachable to do it, and Excel. In the same lengthy discussion he would have explained not needing to waste big money on JT but to put the money elsewhere.
  20. He certainly isn't more than a PS candidate for us today. Perhaps he is still available because he and his agent believe that he will be on someone's 53 this season and they believe we may come calling if we have an injury. We should have several candidates in mind.
  21. What a reach! Flowers looks very twitchy and is extremely fast. I expect him to learn fast. We are fast on the other side also. Few CB's don't take a number of beats these days. Two TD passes is to be expected. Four is another story.
