  1. Kind words giving Moss his due. Gotta get the pass blocking sharper but he can slow them down when he gets there. I really appreciate his effort.
  2. Thank you, i am saddened by this unfortunate victory. Hard to believe they were missing so many this early in the season. Just our luck.
  3. The Texans have a great QB and I can see the possibility they become a top 15 team this season. We do have a pud schedule and it's possible we become a top 15 team this season. I would give that today as 30% probability. We can't afford injuries and turnovers.
  4. We have a few of our own to sign after this season, and I expect at least 2-3 more outside FA to fill gaps.
  5. The Pierce grab was superior stuff also.
  6. I'm most interested about where tackles occur rather than how many. And how easy or difficult it is to pass into a LB'ers zone. Zaire had difficulty getting off big chubby guys blocks yesterday and he is a little too easy to pass over and on. He certainly consistently plays hard.
  7. We put a lot of time into turning Deon into a productive player. Sort of a D- for our GM and staff.
  8. Go right ahead and keep bashing your brains with this Ignorable. Explain yourself... chuckle.
  9. It would be silly to put him out there. He has had a good couple of weeks. It will be good for him to take a step back and think about things.
  10. Our best chance to win has been to start Minshew. AR is starting because of the long term benefit. This could not be more clear. Clamoring huh! Gee, I expect Our people to speak professionally with niceties.
  11. Things will fall apart if Kelly doesn't play. And we know that we have 2 cornerbacks that mentally will have failures. Pierce will get a shot or two. I hope one hits.
  12. All veteran contracts become fully guaranteed If they make the opening day roster. IF, say we trade Mac after 4 games, we would save the cost of the 13 remaining game checks ($3.7M). Also the amount for each game he played in the rest of the season. $30,000 Per game played in. The amount total of these per games played Bonuses defers to9m Next year's salary cap. Could there be a competitive needy team willing to pay Mac $3.7M for a 13 game Playoff push? Plus up to $390,000 in per games played bonuses. Not going to be Chicago! Mo may be our best blocker but my eyes say he is not that great of a blocker, and it is hard to picture him going somewhere, picking up their offense quickly and then making much of a contribution in the passing game. I am no fan of Granson so I would like to see him traded.
  13. Hopefully we do stay healthy and block well week after week. We had a variety of blocking combinations that our guys Could Do. Steichen and his coaches are do a few atta boys.
  14. You have posted many what i would does on this subject. Here is my suggestion. He finds someone willing to give him $14M fully guaranteed for the first 2 years, with reasonable incentives that gets him near $20M. I would believe it won't be our Colts.
  15. Last season Fries got thrown into action in a sunami of things falling apart under Frank. There is no question this late rd pick wasn't quite ready. Our opponents wisely ran blitzes and stunts his way and he handled them poorly. He should be better prepared now, he has Steichen's offense and play calling, and IMO a healthy Kelly who is able to move well (for now) and has his strength back up after a couple seasons playing at less than 100%. I enjoyed rewatching our line execution during the game. There are enough time outs and half time to easily do it. We saw Glowinski have 4-5 really good games a season, usually early in the season probably before he started getting nicked up. And perhaps because of favorable match ups. Barring injury we look to be pretty good on the O-Line compared to our peers.
  16. If it's a no Brainer why bother the post. Hopefully he is traded to a contender before he plays another down for us. He wants the $$$.
  17. So your telling us they don't have equal value? Chuckle After many Hundreds of posts it is hard to believe Anyone can't comprehend the choice of added value based on skill set vs cost. The road to the SB is perfectly clear regarding the RB position. Get over it!!
  18. COLTS Six sacks Ten tackles for loss Houston Zero sacks Zero TFL Kudos to Steichen and his Oline coaches. And our players. It was fun "this week", stop action replaying our plays to see the blocking scheme and execution of each player. Time and again our guys held their blocks and our pullers and trappers were getting their hats on them. Kelly was very solid and French, as should be expected, missed a few blocks. Anyway, a nice jump from week one.
  19. Stroud's touch and accuracy is elite already. And he has a burst to escape the rush. He would have been worth trading the house for the 1st pick. Chuckle Frank.
  20. Whaaaaa! Who cares. TD was very well blocked with Q and Fries sealing a walk in TD.
  21. Silliness, not to be taken serious.
  22. Like it or not Pittman was drafted at 34. Any given year there are 15-20 sure fire 1st rd graded players. I have doubts now that we had Pittman graded that high, but it makes some since we had a later 1st rd grade on him. Pierce went 53 as I recall. This is a high pick nowadays for a WR. Downs in the 3rd has everyone excited. I consider this as aggressive for the position. Bad things are going on with Pierce right now. I expect them to stay on him for several more games but I agree he will soon be on probation and getting fewer snaps if he doesn’t get his head right. We absolutely need to hit a homerun getting the WR position right next off-season. So Pittman and Pierce have a lot to prove. After game one, I would keep our powder dry for next off season for a great WR FA or a trade opportunity. And pay him $25M.
  23. I have oldfanman on ignore just for posts like this. It's a given that players will compete. If you don't they can mess with your PT. Simply put for the hardest of heads, we could have upgraded a few positions that so many thousands of posts here clamored for. But management didn't do it. The hard headed say tank isn't happening. Neither is going all out in the hopes of going 8-9. Irsay hates 8-9. We desperately need to be drafting high in 2024. We will see how Ballard and Steichen handle things to better judge this year's philosophy.
  24. Zaire and Speed both attacked really fast last game. Buckner and Grover tearing it up right in front of them is a huge deal. Go Colts!
  25. Steichen and his coaches are building this offense brick by brick. We saw significant failures with Reggies group executing. They will be trying to clean up the bad from what we put on tape and adding and practicing more of the playbook each week. AR had a good handle on most of what he was given week 1, and will surely gain confidence. How about we put 3 points on the chart before we get overly judgie! I sure wish we had a healthy Woods out there instead of Mac. And I'm praying Ogletree stays healthy. We need really good blocking from the TE position someday. And WR, and RB.
