  1. Frank would have clearly outlined his philosophy and the mix of skills required to build an offense capable of stressing a D at all levels. Campbell ran in the 4.3's (exceptional), had a history of vg health, ran like a RB, and demonstrated a very high end. He was a solid choice. Welcome to the NFL. Injuries piled up and he didn't pan out. Ballard listened to Frank a lot, and a lot didn't pan out. Much of that was because their philosophies matched. So yes, I think Steichen will have to sell Ballard and Irsay on the right path to go with our receiving core. And I will be beyond shocked if they choose Jeudy as our long-term answer at WR. You are looking at $13M next year, so as Our Guy, a 4-5 year contract would be part of this. This guy has Reggies 4.45 speed, NOT take off the top speed, not Reggies hands or superb route running. It does make sense to add a speedster on a rookie contract or perhaps sign or trade for one using that $13M + next off-season.
  2. Ray Lewis whined and whined after the Ravens let his space eating big DT's get away. His numbers fell off of the cliff without them. Zaire is thriving as a run stopper for sure. Another season of starting and he should get even better.
  3. Judy makes no sense. He is a mediocrity in every sense and we would be stuck with his 5th year option salary. Plumb crazy. We have to do better than him long term.
  4. I believe Pierce had a faster 40 time. Because I took a minute to look it up.
  5. A low down, wreckless quitter that walked off with $26m ?
  6. Silliness. He needs hundreds and hundreds of hours of film study to improve his ability to read defenses, and his throwing mechanics and timing will only improve with top notch coaching and Practice. AR can be much better next season even if he doesnโ€™t play another down this season.
  7. Take their names and remember to ignore them. They are a waste of time. Minshew does have limitations, but it will be interesting watching him the next few weeks to see what he can become here and now.
  8. He will be working on his accuracy regarding footwork for the next couple of years so this time off is not a big deal. Now he will be focused on being a student of which he has already proven he is a good one. I expect he will take additional time with the other position groups in meetings to broaden his knowledge.
  9. Or ever will be. Put this joker on Ignore long ago. A waste of time.
  10. He had an elbow injury in 2020 and couldn't lift as needed, likely for more than a year. With a weak arm and not being to do all of the needed lower body power work, he got bullied. So he is healthy now.
  11. It is my understanding that Irsay let Edge handle it. They Are close you know. Then it goes to our capologist to negotiate the terms.
  12. AR has learned Steichen's offense fast, he is smart and now he has time to reflect and gain wisdom. I expect this time off the field will be turned into a long-term positive.
  13. I Would be shocked if it didn't happen. And I am with you, it was a workman type game with few highlights. Q, Kelly, and a noteworthy Fries executed a whole Lotta high level blocks and Moss ground'em down. And as a team we shut down their run game. It was exciting watching a great WR Hopkins making great catches. We had Downs making plays.
  14. Franklin has made himself into an excellent playmaker. He is getting to the right spot quicker this season and making more tackles closer to the LOS. Oh for a healthy Shaq. lol
  15. I wouldn't think you would know, or have the capacity to give give him the credit deserved. I don't believe Edge ever had a 50 yarder where he out ran them. But to simplify, Edge ran that hard, bounced off would be tacklers at the line of scrimmage, often behind, but rarely lost yards. A caveman should be able to see the similarity.
  16. We can scratch your words, but one can see that he IS headed to his 1st Pro Bowl and perhaps more. Franklin has upped his game thanks to last year's experience and he is making really good plays at the highest volume. He has surprised the heck out of me.
  17. Steichen calls the plays. And we are running his offense. Jim Bob would of course oversee the weekly game planning with the position coaches. For all the new being put together, our guys are executing creative blocking and are playing with a lot of effort. "Credit the job Jim Bob Cooter has done having to switch the offense from Richardson to Minshew in game more than once and itโ€™s been very effective for the most part."
  18. Moss plays similar to how Edge did.
  19. Kelly is healthy for the first time since 2020. Fries has progressed quite rapidly with the science and timing with his cohorts. He is lacking in power but executing double teams with Kelly and slipping to the second level and getting contact and good angles. Good coaching with nice IQ on his part. Fries was excellent today. Q was really good and Smith was fine. Freeland was quiet out there so that is good for a rookie 4th rounder. Even in his first start Steichen was pulling him right Even between the G and T and he is smooth and fast to the that hole. He is a very good athlete. His year two jump could be very interesting. Steichen and his staff are pretty good already.
  20. I don't mind the process (tough tactics) as much as the outcome. Likely only fully guaranteed money with the signing bonus and for 2024. Some dead cap also if we move on after 24. Moss wouldn't survive much longer with all these snaps and that would have made us to easy to defend, leaving AR under pressure to run too much. That alone is reason enough to get the best deal the Colts could get, to let Taylor take the beating while making life safer for AR.
  21. WR is in the process of being rebuilt, TE, CB, S, and LB is iffy. What will be the evaluation of C, RG, and RT after the season. Call it whatever you wish. JT must produce consistently at a very high level and help make us SB relevant at some point. That should be the goal and expectation from the top down if they love what they are seeing from Steichen and AR. I can vision the possibility ๐Ÿ˜ so it's time for yeah rah sis bomb boom Go Colts!
  22. It is likely not even the $26.5 we could get stuck with. It did not say Fully Guaranteed. We will see what the signing bonus is and what money is Fully Guaranteed in year two. I would expect zero $$ Guaranteed in year 3. I'll take a guess that JT was happy to sign for less than $20m fully guaranteed. This year's salary + $4m fully guaranteed in 24 so I say $16m fully guaranteed on this deal.
  23. Getting weird here. Get real. We only beat them because they were missing so many players. Wasn't there also something about a NFL record field goal thingy?
