  1. Hopkins plays the way Pittman does and could make some plays as a rotational player. He is due $14M in 2024 so... Pierce is going to be a good player. And Downs is already VG in the slot.
  2. Leonard is definitely not aggressively throwing his body into it like before. Everyone will be watching. He must get the speed back, if not, gotta move on. We will draft a LB no later than the 3rd I'll predict.
  3. You see someone could trade for him because they have playoff hopes and a need. His salary this season is $4.8 M. And would cost a team between $2.6 - $2.9m depending on games played in. He has no guaranteed money for 2024, with a $5.4m salary and $30,000 per games played.
  4. Drafts typically have 15 up to 20 sure fire first rd graded draft prospects. Then roughly 20-40 ish sure 2nd rd picks. Kwity at 21 was Ballard's highest graded player on his board we are to believe and a much-needed DE/pass rusher. There is a long list Doug of players drafted #1 -10 that were huge misses. 20/20 hindsight is a game for losers. It is of even lower form when the story is not yet written.
  5. Based on $$$. So after Sunday's game we will owe Moss about $720,000 for the rest of the season. So you trade him then elevate someone to the roster and pay them hopefully the minimum say, $350,000. So what ya think.
  6. Dayo is impacting the game, albeit not consistently. He still needs a lot of snaps to figure it out. I hope he stays healthy and gets those needed reps these last ten games. There are many pass rushers, WR, and QB's that make their jump in years 3 and 4. Posters here lament going after those contract year one year wonders. Truth is that many really good players do elevate their games from experience and play their best football in years 4-8. So Dayo still has a good shot of being a quality member of a SB challenger in the years ahead. Kwity plays good football. His best should be ahead.
  7. I donโ€™t typically wallow in hypothetical, but, if Gardner posts 4 turnovers for the 3rd game in a row... what to do?
  8. One man's Ignored troll is another man's waste of time.
  9. Ideally we would lose out and start over fresh in 2024.
  10. I shore feel better now. Or, i'm still sick we beat the Ravens.
  11. I would believe that Pittman prefers being a FA so he can go where he and his wife want to go. He also wants stats that will add many Millions of dollars to his next contract. Oh he is yapping for Dollars ๐Ÿ’ฐ.
  12. Backups get better by playing. It is a darn shame Smith can't show up to earn his fat paycheck. Freeland has done ok for a rookie that is forced to play so much this early in the season. He just did not get how fast and powerful Garrett is. Just motivation to put on 15lbs of muscle ๐Ÿ’ช. I'm glad he is playing.
  13. Thanks for giving us a post worth reading. I did like Ogletrees chip and Johnson was pretty stout in for Grove.
  14. Downs, Pierce, and Pittman all did well today. Kenny is being used well and making big plays. Johnson played his best yet at DT. Maybe he does belong. Blackmon was someone I unquestionably wanted gone after last season. He is looking better for sure.
  15. At best Steichen wanted JT here to help protect AR for the next 2 years till AR and his receivers got up to carrying the offense. Makes sense when all we had was Moss and leftovers. Now we have a waste of one of those seasons. The Team of Irsay and Ballard seems like something I wouldn't bet on.
  16. If you don't know what the Tag infers we are wasting each others time.
  17. Could you be so kind as to search for the top nfl wr list for 2023, and give us your head count regarding how many sure fire #1 wr's there are in the NFL. I put the number about 11-12. Like you I want one. Devante Adam's is extremely good. Check his numbers for his first 4 seasons with Roger's. Match a "true #1" with a true #1 QB and your path to the playoffs, and perhaps a Conference Championship game is more likely. What we desperately need is a really good TE to attack the middle of the zone. Pierce and Pittman's stories are still unwritten.
  18. It is early in season one and he wants to find out what he has. We got in several competitive reps and learned we better have different options. Including better blocking TE's.
  19. And someone could say, why would we. Can't we negotiate after the season? Can't we tag him, then negotiate. He had things still to prove. Who would Ballard/Steichen rather have long term? Pittman or Jeudy? We could trade a 2nd for Jeudy, have him for the rest of this season to figure him out, and for next season for $13M. And/or sign Pittman long term, or trade Pittman now for who knows what.
  20. You might enjoy looking at sites Spotrac or OvertheCap. Spot race estimates we have $9.6m of cap space. Leonard leaving us today would generate by my estimation a $22m instant cap hit. The math says Leonard isn't going anywhere this season. We take $8m of cap hit if we cut him after this season. If we donโ€™t cut him then we would owe him about $16m for 24. So much for rewarding big 2nd contracts to your own. And high dollar FA have a very high rate of being cut after the 2nd year for lack of performance/value.
  21. It is interesting that you were once a well informed poster, but now don't understand that Taylor can't be traded now or next season because of cap considerations. I do hope you are well.
  22. You dumbed it down very nicely ๐Ÿ‘Œ.
