  1. NBC has taken legendary play by play announcer Al Michaels off of playoff broadcasts. And the most popular reason by most is because of some remarks he said regarding Taylor Swift. Some say it was her that wanted and forced NBC executives to remove him. I guess he was nearing retirement anyway but its a shame if swiftly was the reason he's been removed.
  2. I will disagree with you and say it is for the money. The Manning family is financially motivated..... and nothing wrong with that. I remember a funny story when Peyton was injured and Eli was playing in the Super Bowl, I think in Indy? Anyway, I think I heard he wanted financial compensation to do an interview and give his progress status.. I can't swear to that but that's what I think I heard. What I do know for a fact was mother Manning was giving a interview and right in the middle of it she pulled out a box of Rice A Roni and said that's what she cooks for family get togethers. As far as Subway, I stopped going to them years ago. Instead, we have a Publix supermarket and their deli makes very good subs.
  3. The city they play in doesn't matter......even the elite QBs that played for them doesn't matter when trying to go to the super bowl......Dan Fouts.....Phillip Rivers..... and now Herbert. Eli was almost on this list but refused to play for them.. I guess the Manning family knew something? Lol
  4. Won't help them. No matter what they do AND how much talent they have the chargers organization is highly doubtful of being relevant, except for maybe a wild card season once in a while. I said previously Herbert should push his way out if championships matter to him. Bosa so frustrated at the end last year along with their fans who I feel sorry for. The time was last year to fire their coach with Payton on the market and a young QB phenom to lure him.... But that's not the chargers way.
  5. The Falcons, I've noticed seems to always play wild close games that aren't decided until the last seconds. The colts shouldn't overlook any team, let alone one who is usually competitive. The Fans can since we won't effect the outcome.
  6. I bought HBO MAX to finish watching Game of Thrones(terrible ending) and House of the Dragons which I liked. Season 2 expected spring or fall of '24 and looking forward to it. GOT, despite the last few episodes, probably best tv series I've watched. I would like Santa to bring me a IRON CHAIR. LoL
  7. This ^^^^ was my post on June 18. Read last paragraph. I know I made related posts in other threads. And No, I don't have a crystal ball and I am not related to Nostradamus !!!
  8. This season hasn't exceeded my pre season prediction. I felt it was our turn to have a decent season and predicted the colts and or Texans contend for the division with like a 9-8...8-8-1 type of record. Of course that was thinking AR5 playing. As far as.Steinchen, yesterday's coaching and game plan and having the players ready to play was excellent. Best game, imo, he's had all season. And of course he's better than Reich, who isn't?? But the brownie points he got yesterday doesn't quite offset the demerits he got for the Cincy and in Duvall county games which also were important games. Its still very early in his colts coaching career and we won't know for a while but yesterday's game was a step in the right direction.
  9. That's old-school on how defensive players were taught how to play. And then the victim of the hit was told he got his bell rung, add some dirt on it or given smelling sauce or something and told to go back in.... LoL. Your right that these days defense is lacking but the ramifications of head and brain damage is too great.
  10. My 2¢: First I was fortunate to be at casino and had opportunity to bet on colts at halftime which covered my original bet on steelers. Colts were playing much better in 2nd quarter than Pittsburgh and doing a 180° seemed a logical and smart thing to do. A very good game by the colts. I think it was Steinchen best coached game along with Minshew who played very well. They definitely came out ready to play unlike the week prior to Bengals and the other important game in Jacksonville. I know the Steelers aren't much but still very satisfying game especially with the lack of success against them and how often the colts disappoint in bigger games...... But they didn't disappoint yesterday and came ready to play in a nationally televised game that had major playoff implications. A wildcard and even a rare division title is possible. I hope JT comes back soon and Pittman isn't lost for long for the stretch drive.

  12. I was fortunate AND sharp enough to be in person at casino and seen the colts completely out playing the Steelers near halftime and covered my original bet by playing the colts at -3. So I broke even on football but made a little on Roulette and made a little profit after expenses. I had fun and the Steelers showed why my original bet was modest despite the history of colts.Steelers matchup. Gambling in today's modern world is so interesting since there is In-Game-Betting and adjustments can be made on the fly if you have a keen eye and sense..... which I did. No Xmas bonus as I broke even but my original modest bet wasn't big enough for a bonus anyway. I hope the tribe wins their Florida case and mobile betting will be allowed. Hanging out most of day nearly every day during MLB season isn't desirable.....but it was yesterday since its new here.
  13. I think you can add the refs to the list of good things going for the steelers.
  14. Christmas Bonus.....Lol I didn't bet that much, mostly because the Steelers are pathetic on offense. But historically and traditionally this game highly goes for the Steelers. Plus I mostly emptied off shore betting account because HardRock is now taking sports bets in Florida and wanted get my feet wet with them. As far as the colts are concerned, like some here said and JMV they really came up empty in a game they needwd. Not just that they lost, which is always a decent chance, but the effort, game plan, play calling etc... wasn't a way you want to see a team play in a pretty important game. So a question you could ask in stead of why bet against your team is why does a team seemingly come up with such disappointing performances in many games of high importance? .....like the way they ended the season two years ago with losses to the raiders and jaguars and the loss in Duvall county was a total beat down by a 5 win team with the playoffs on the line! And I won't remind myself of all the one & dones from the Polian/Dungy/Manning days which were the Best teams fielded by far since the move to Indy and yet many ended in such disappointment and frustration. Bottom line, this team has a way of laying a egg when they need to come up big or even at least a good effort. But Like I said, I didn't wager enough to actually root for the Steelers to win. I'm actually looking forward to April, that's when MLB starts and that's my expertise but unless it goes online I will have to commute 30 miles to pompano or 44 miles to Hardrock Hollywood each way. That will interfere with some of my activities......like napping
  15. The money line earlier this week was if you bet $100 AGAINST the colts making the playoffs you would get back $169..... a $69 profit.
  16. I got my bet in early at +2.5 .....I guess I'm glad I did but it may not matter. I think it could be a blowout.
  17. Last years team as well as other recent years teams were not built wisely PLUS a lot of things went wrong. Soto is not a cure all but more to appease the soured fan base. Verdugo should help and Grishim is plus gold glove CF with speed and is the third lefty added which was much needed. If Rizzo can bounce back from his mis diagnosed concussion and Stanton/Lemaye contribute the offense could be a force. Yamamoto and or another starting pitcher is needed plus strengthen the bullpen.... I don't trust Holmes, especially in big games. Having said all that, 2024 should be a lot more fun than 2023.
  18. Don't really know the true amount and details of comtract. Its now reported something like $2 million per season and $68million per year starting in 2034? Who knows & who cares? I seriously doubt he will be durable enough to play more than half of the contract and the bulk of that will probably be a DH mostly. I'm glad the Yankees stayed well clear of that super arrogant injury prone DH Lol.
  19. Historically this is a Lock for the Steelers..... especially considering its so important to the Steelers & Tomlin to right their ship and important for the colts chances at playoffs.
  20. Kinda makes you think don't it? LoL
  21. That is true and that's what I say to my cousin who loves them and thinks this is their year. It would be nice for Jerry if they do win it or at least make it to the super bowl. I remind him long trends in the NFL usually remain trends lol. But if they do fail in the playoffs its no fault on him as he's done a good job fielding a talented team.
  22. What a Dominant game tonight by the Cowboys. Jerry has really assembled a All around power house and he spares no expense to win and gladly picked up Gilmores $10 million contract to boost team.. Also a shout out to their scouts for spottimg Skip Bayless calls "Eleven from.Heaven". Dak is in MVP form and my choice for making Super Bowl which would great for Jerry as he is maybe the best owner in league or at least true to win as.much other.
  23. Thats how I feel. I know the NFL is more than X's & O's and talent etc..... But minshew can only do so much with his limited talent AND athleticism even on his and the teams good days..With him, its always going to be a uphill struggle when he's in. I thank him for his effort and contributing to the teams win total(what ever it will end up being). But a experience backup who is not such a enormous drop off athletically from AR5 who can move and throw deep is needed, among other team needs. Hopefully, he'll do ok the rest of the way for a team to pay him more to compete for a starter job.....or just pay him more than the colts are willing to, which shouldn't be too hard. LoL
