  1. Sneed has been tagged, however he has also been given permission to seek a trade. I think a second would net you sneed
  2. I, of course, only care about the WR's. I'm hyper focused to that point as is normally the case with me for the last 6 off seasons. With that said KJ Osborn? Absolutely not. He is a JAG. You, like many posters who make these mocks, are always trying to link the Colts with some mid-tier/bottom feeder projection WR or some old guy, i.e Mike Evans in FA. Let me ask you this? Would you rather PAY MPJ 20-25 mil a year and put him next to a mid-tier/bottom feeder receiver because technically we already have that now or would you rather let MPJ walk and use that money plus a bit more on, let's say, Aiyuk or JJ and put them next to a mid-tier/bottom feeder or a 2024 rook? I'm not saying my option would even be attainable as those players I mentioned might not be available however if the Colts DO NOT try to install a plan similar towards what I just I suggested and implement a plan like you suggested, then this team is just not getting it and it's time to really rethink what this front office is doing from the skill position department. Now, if the Colts keep MPJ and do whatever it takes to move UP and grab a stud WR or stud TE in the draft then now we are talking. If the Colts DO NOT pay MPJ and take that available cash and use their 15th overall pick to go after JJ or Aiyuk and draft a second- or third-day rook WR as well as an example, then now we are talking. If they pay MPJ and sign a guy like Osborn or Mooney and draft a late 1st or second day receiver then Ballard, IMHO, is NOT the GM we need for the obvious "doing the same thing expecting different results insanity" method towards skill players. Can a second- or third-day receiver turn into a superstar stud? Sure, but I do not trust Ballard and his staff to get that type of pick correct based on past selections in the draft and FA. We need no-brainer locks at WR or TE and not cross your finger guys. It's time for the Colts to go big or go home.
  3. First, I want to say that I'm not sure personally if I would pay Pittman what I have seen his projections to be. 20-24 million a year. Somewhere in-between those figures. I like Pittman and i realize that he is our best option currently, I'm just not sure that kind of money warrants a WR2/possession guy. With that said though, the market just might warrant that, and Pittman just might fit that bill for the league and for the Colts. What I believe needs to happen if the Colts really want to retain Pittman is that he needs to be franchise tagged. If he is allowed to test FA, with or without an offer from the Colts, the Colts will be put in a bidding war that we as a franchise does not need right now, and I think the biggest opponent for this is the Kansas City Chiefs. I think the Chiefs would go after Higgins before Pittman; however, I'm reading that the Bengals will most likely tag Higgins. What type of Tag I don't know, but it seems he will be tagged. So that leaves Pittman. Out of all the other 31 teams who still might make a play for Pittman, KC is the real threat here Imo. It makes too much sense for the Chiefs. Adding Pittman and throwing him in the mix with Kelce and Rice would supplant the Chiefs for more runs at more titles. So, in closing, unless Pittman really wants to stay here and take the Colts offer, if there is one, without testing the waters, he most assuredly needs to be tagged or I think he is gone.
  4. This!! I was really hesitant to post a thread about this as my threads like this seem to always garner confusion or laughing emojis, but JJ for 2024 and 2025 1st and a bonus player or pick might not seem out of the question IF the Vikings do not resign Cousins and go with a QB option JJ finds unfavorable. With a RB situation that needs to be addressed, a TE who might not be ready to play until Oct-Nov of 2024, and a not so favorable QB, coupled with the Lions and Packers looking like real contenders, the Vikings might be inclined at looking at a soft-mid retool/rebuild and JJ becomes expendable letting Addison become the tool they build around. If I was Indy, I would be watching what unfolds in Minny rather closely. Thanks for even suggesting this
  5. It's not the fans who are terrible, it's all these forum members. Apart from myself and all those who follow, like, and agree with all my posts of course.
  6. Our TE room? Ha!! The entire team could use a guy like this. Generation TE/Skill player. Colts should do whatever it takes to land this guy. Kelce, Kittle anyone... I mean come on.. If he is within reach, we need to pounce
  7. I saw that you posted this same thread at Stampede Blue. The reason I kind of mocked this is the fact that why would we ever want a player, much less pay the player who is never on the field. JOEY Bosa has been a total flop compared to his brother. Forget his impact when he is healthy as his being unhealthy has derailed his talent. Every time you turn around this guy is banged up with something. I realize that most players are banged up with something, but Bosa's somethings always keep him sidelined on gameday. His production is NOT worth the money or assets needed to acquire him even if he was available. Same as Chase Young. These two players are not worth the money no matter how much we need rush upgrades.
  8. Am I understanding this whole thing correctly? I don't think I am as this is the WORST off-season assessment/guess I think I have ever been witnessed to..
  9. Ummm, but according to most, he was open all year and just was never thrown the ball by a bad QB with a weak arm?
  10. Are you sure? I could have sworn they released him. Did they put him on exempt list then?
  11. We need to bring back Ogletree and put him in the NFL anger management classes and put his face on the "what not to do when your emotions get the best of you" posters. All jest aside, I'm not sure why the NFL teams give up on these guys so quick these days. I get the PR hit, but back in the day, teams tried to help these guys. Like Dallas and Dez as example. Sometimes people screw up, but Kareem Hunt seems to have straightened himself out and up until KC found Pacheco, they had a rough time at that position. I'm kind of sad the Colts didn't try to help this kid other than kick him to the curb. Watching this tape, I forgot how much promise this guy actually had. Bummer
  12. My friend, that is the reason I called him a bust from a consistency standpoint. This team can ill afford to have any more players on this team that are not consistently catching balls. We already have one in Pierce as an example. I'm not sure he will be available however Higgins is a guy or Keenan if the Chargers move on, are players we should invest in. They consistently get open and catch the ball when given the opportunity. It shocks me that this fan base has settled for these mediocre receivers that we have had since the manning years. I mean Harrison, Wayne, Clark, Collie, Stokely, Gonzales, Garcon... All these guys did was CATCH the ball consistently all over the place. Always open, always were thrown to. Stokely, Wayne, and Harrison all had 1000-yard seasons at the same time. Yes, it's about the QB however the receivers still have to get open and make the catches too. We have been nowhere near that for over a decade now. It's ridiculous to say AR is going to bring that back (idea of more than 1 1k yard receiver in the same season) with the group we currently possess. It's not happening. We need better skill position players who are consistent, and Gabe Dave isn't it. < Yes, I know his last name is Davis but me and my buddies have always called him Gabe Dave...
  13. Davis has been near a bust from a consistency standpoint. He's basically an underwhelming 2. We already have enough of those guys..Ha!!
  14. She is also not the writer..Ha!! she is the photographer of the Ballard pic in the original article. MSN, where I got the excerpt from, botched the credit, and in turn, so did I. Some guy on stampede blue wrote the article.
  15. I saw the article on news feed, MSN I think. Had that chicks name under it, so.. ?? Regardless, the sentiment is exactly what a lot of us have been saying for years and now it seems like outside sources see the same things as well. I don't care if you disagree with what the article said, it's your prerogative to do so should you choose, however just because viewpoints such as this via the article might be unpopular to some, doesn't make it not worth noticing or even discussing. There are too many in this forum that continue to point to these players improving in miniscule ways as one example, year after year. Rinse and repeat, without REAL results consecutively. Giving a pass for "growth period". It also doesn't help when Ballard tells everyone it was a concentrated effort to play the young guys, as he did in his most recent presser. Those who really like Ballard, will yet again overlook the obvious ( no division titles, 1 playoff appearance ) and stay the course, trusting his process. A process that is more resilient than the energizer bunny. The rest of us can clearly see that from the start, whatever process he was implementing and whatever process was amended over these 8 years, has not worked. I do not dislike Ballard. In fact, I like him because he's a guy's guy. The kind of guy you wanna have a beer or two with. It's his vision that bothered me and I fully started to understand it somewhere in year two of his reign to the current. He was building this team like it was the 80's Bears, early 90's smash mouth. Putting resources in the wrong spots and for some reason not understanding that the league was heading more towards a high-flying aerial style of offense in the majority. It was odd to me especially because the Colts had the aerial in the Manning years and it was highly successful, so why go complete 180? Anyway, he is here. If it takes him 9 years to realize where this league is, then so be it. Better late than never.
  16. "My Narrative" This is the last moment I'm going to entertain your fizzle. Since reading my post you have made this all about "My Narrative". You are right. It has been "My Narrative" for many years now, as you are quick to point out. But here's the thing. My post was from an Indy Writer, Reporter, whatever. Not from me. A person paid to write stuff about the team, not just some guy with a "Narrative" as you claim I am. So, explain how "My Narrative" was so eloquently explained from some Indy writer I have zero ties to. A writer who has never had the privilege of seeing or knowing "My Narrative". Maybe I should attempt to sue her as she has clearly copied "My Narrative" without my permission, nor has she given me credit as "My Narrative" or could it be that "My Narrative" is starting to become a realized reality more and more each day, each year, as this GM continues down his never changing path. Maybe, just maybe, "MY Narrative" has been spot on from the jump. As "My Narrative" to me, has always been nothing more than obvious assertions. I'm out. You are no longer a part of "My Narrative".
  17. The only colossal disappointment in this list is Jax. The rest you mentioned are hands down miles better than this team where it currently stands. That Philly team is one year removed from a super bowl which they came minutes away from winning and they are a disappointment? Miami? Cincy? Dude, for real? This team arguably was improved sure but to what degree? as we were playing a third place schedule of teams I believe. The only real good win was against Baltimore, and that really doesn't count because the Colts seem to ALWAYS beat the ravens in Baltimore. I'm glad you are a fan but where you say I'm one-sided in my viewpoints of this team, the same can be said for you, only opposite. This team is NOT close to really competing the way it should be. Yes, they can compete in a league that had more backup QB's playing this year, including us, than any other year in the history of the league I think, but that does not mean that we drastically improved as much as you think we did. If we did drastically improve, we still would not be sitting here needing to fill gaping holes at premium spots like WR, CB, and Edge Rusher. These positions, along with QB, have been void of this team with Ballard at the helm and it is why as the writer says, we have zero division titles and only 1 playoff win in 8 years now. In NFL terms, that's a long time without a sniff. Even the hapless commanders won a division title a couple years back, and they just cleaned their entire house. < Seriously, think about that a moment. I think it's time to take the glasses off or in your case, put them on, because clearly you can't see what's right in front of your face...
  18. Oh gotcha. I'm not a pacers or basketball fan so that's probably right. there were other parts of the article I left out where she was comparing colts to pacers. Sorry, for the confusion, but you got it
  19. I think she probably meant Howitzer... ie Cannon arm I'm guessing
  20. First of all, the FA aspect is only one part of it. So it is you my friend who are clearly looking to confirm your feelings. Regardless of whether we agree or disagree with what you call organizational philosophy, as the writer points out, it has not worked. See "results" as the key here. As far as Ballard's decisions goes, again, can't really say they have been great when the results show otherwise.
