  1. I truly believe that the Colts should attempt to strike a deal with the Bears for Claypool. I'm not sure he's damaged goods. If all is true, I think the dude just wants to be a featured part of a gameplan and lord knows we need receivers. I say it's worth a look sees. Just my
  2. Friendos... I have been called out for saying that AP was a wasted 2022 2nd round pick. Let's see if I turn out to be right. This is a running weekly tab on how many games the real ghost, aka Alec Pierce, disappears. Week one: CHECK Week two: CHECK Week Three: Partial CHECK ( 3 for 7 is better or aka a little Boo ) Week Four: CHECK Week Five:
  3. Or... Alec, I'll take getting not upset if another team took you off our hands for $1000 worth of 's.
  4. I actually believe Pierce will not be on this team past his rook contract. I hope I'm wrong because we need receivers in the worst way, however I have never thought Pierce was a high ceiling player. The one trick pony non-sense some label him as "his thing" is very misleading considering this guy never seems to truly beat anybody on the long ball with speed. Wasted pick and I'm standing pat until proven otherwise.
  5. Ok, "stat/facts/metrics/analytics/I read all the articles" ...guy. I'm just here watching games... On to week 3

  7. We should trade the Jets the rights to Andrew Luck for their 2024 and 2025 1st round picks
  8. This. It was and still is my biggest fear. Ballard was asked if not having JT would stunt AR's development. They should've asked if not a legit receiving room having would. It would've been more accurate. With the news that broke earlier today that the Colts asked for Watson in the GB trade offer and earlier Waddle news, it tells me the Colts realize this bigtime. Go Colts!!
  9. Most times I agree with your takes, however here I will have to disagree. Ballard and the staff have drafted some fine players in past 6 years or so. Where they have fallen short is offensive elite skill talent. Taylor so far, (hopefully Downs might be really good) is the only offensive elite skill talent that has been drafted. Of all of them other than Taylor, I still have high hopes on Granson. Maybe this year is the year he puts it all together. Anyways, carry on sir -cheers
  10. To me this isn't a wild ask. Clearly the Colts understand that our WR room is putrid, so at least I'm pleased to find out that they asked for a great need for this team. Gives me hope that in the upcoming years this position NOW will start to finally be addressed.
  11. It can't be a loose deadline IMO. Rosters have to be determined along with RB plan moving forward. Could the Colts be content with Hull and Jackson until Moss is back, sure, but I really do believe that some in the building would either like to have Taylor or in the event Taylor is traded, Kareem Hunt. It wouldn't surprise me if there has been an agreement where Hunt would be the starter should Taylor get traded. Whatever is going to happen has to happen today.
  12. Well, considering that the dolphins just traded Feeney(OG) to the Bears, I'm sure Hunt will not be a part of a trade package for taylor.
  13. I don't think they could ever do it with all the money tied up in Murray. I mean that team would be crippled for years.
  14. Maybe. I just wouldn't have paid Leonard all that and I love Leonard. I agree that this more than likely has to do with whatever injury is correct here with Taylor and the Colts wanting him healthy b4 committing. It's just easier sometimes when a player views money given to other positions on a team and relating it to what they deem they deserve as well. If I'm Taylor I'm looking at the money shelled out to Leanord and Nelson and being like cm'on brah?
  15. What's funny is I didn't even see this and I just now commented about this very thing.
  16. All the metrics in today's NFL is interesting but I truly believe that regardless of the current NFL landscape of valuing RBs, this JT contract dilemma would have been a lot easier if our GM hadn't given elite money to a MLB. <Another position you just don't give money too or even the guard, although the MLB has to take the cake here. I really put most of this on Ballard and unfortunately, even though he might have finally seen the light to where the current NFL positions bread is buttered, we might have to lose a very talented offensive piece in the process. Let's either get him a Jacobs like extension or get him gone.
  17. I'm guessing at this point he will be a colt and be on the pup for the 4 weeks.
  18. Oh, for God's sake. Now you are comparing Pierce to Chase. Have you lost your mind? Jaamar Chase in 2 years scored 23 TDs at LSU. Pierce in 4 years at cincy scored 12 Just please stop the stupidity.
  19. I mistakenly wrote my response wrong. I meant to imply that I don't care what every other NFL team seemingly does pertaining on passing on players or if the Colts follow suit. It always isn't indicative of one set agenda. Some teams don't deem certain players a fit, some don't like their physical traits, and some don't want to risk the potential of unfavorable off field traits coming to light in a habitual sense once acquired. Either way, the choices of this organization should not be lumped in with other teams. This team needs to understand where its weakness is and seriously address it. On the surface it seems like the Colts have attempted to do that, but a closer look tells you that they have not. For years now, the weakness has been in offensive playmakers. There is not one Colts fan that should disagree with that. Each offseason when we draft or sign FAs that could potentially become those playmakers we so desperately need, we are hopeful and optimistic, however most of these signings/draftees under Ballard should have been realized as not good selections. The players chosen were never that good to begin with or bargain signings at best. This isn't speculation, it's fact. There is no need to list all the absolute busts in the WR room we all have endured. Downs might be legit hopefully, but he is a slot guy, and Pittman is an ok WR2 sometimes but not nearly what he should be considering this team has zero playmakers at this position currently or since Pittman has been here. Yet Pittman is still just a second-tier jag who has shown nothing in terms of commanding the room so to speak and throwing it on his shoulders to excel in that room desperate of leaders and don't tell me it's because of the QB play because that is not the only issue. I have used the example of Nuk many times. He has seriously bad QB play long before Watson came around and yet he was still putting up massive numbers where defenses had to account for him week in and week out. Pittman is a jag. I'm not saying I know it all, but I hated this pick. I am not a fan of Michael Pittman. I knew what he was at USC. A possession guy at best and possession guys are fine but not when the team needs an alpha stud. You don't draft a possession guy to be an alpha stud as it very seldom works out. A few examples like K Allen yes, but I think we can both agree that Allen commands the ball and is always open where Pittman does/is not. 6 years and zero contributors outside of an occasional game or two, here and there. If you have paid attention to my rants/takes, I have used the word consistency time and time again. That is what is lacking. Consistency. Anyway, the lack of real playmakers, IMO, has the potential to derail AR early on. It needs to be fixed quickly. Pierce was supposed to be a guy that won jump balls after taking the defense over the top. On the first play of the eggles game it was an overthrow to pierce against the eggles backups. Pierce did not beat the defender over the top and the ball was overthrown, Pierce was trailing the defender. He is not all that and if you watch closely, he rarely has any separation from the defender at all and in this league that ids what separates the stars from the jags. Pierce is another Ballard jag. Everybody harps on O-line, CB, and DE. None of these positions score points. The Colts are in a loaded AFC. An AFC that scores an immense number of points. WR is the most pressing need of this team. Until it's fixed, we lose.
  20. Those are all options for sure but I personally are still voting no on all of them. here's why: Bears. Aside from the 2nd rounder which is fine and 3rd rounder which is fine, I would take Herbert and the 2nd and call it a day. Dolphins: Mostert and Wilson? No thanks. Both are tier 3 players and Wilson is a slot. We don't need that. Mostert is because he cannot play anywhere near a full season. If not Hunt and a second, give us Hill and a 2nd in 2025 and we send Pittman with Taylor Cardinals: Should be Taylor and Pittman for the Texans first or no thanks Panthers: Miles Sanders? Absolutely not. 2nd rounder fine, we give them JT and Piece and we take Mingo Eagles: Penny is always hurt, no thanks. Watkins is kind of intriguing but again, we have enough little guys. Bottom line is the Colts do not need a RB in return other than Herbert as as soon as JT is gone Kareem Hunt is our starter. You can bank on that I truly believe.
