The story notes that while most fans don't remember this,  in Peyton's early years he didn't do many endorsements.  And when he finally did,  they were local first.   Once upon a time, Peyton Manning was thought by the rest of the world to be boring.

 

It wasn't until Manning had clearly established himself as a force in the NFL that Peyton started to do national TV ads....

 

Well....   our boy Andrew is mostly following the same path.    His agent/uncle says they turned down all sorts of opportunities and are deliberately keeping his off the field profile very low....
