  1. BYE-BYE BYE WEEK BYE-BYE!!

  2. "Former Indianapolis Colts star and Super Bowl champion Matt Ulrich has died, team owner Jim Irsay said Wednesday. He was 41. “I am heartbroken to hear of the passing of Matt Ulrich. Matt was with us only two seasons, but left his mark on many,” Irsay wrote in a post on X. “Great guy, I hear he was a great dad — and he was a Super Bowl champ. My prayers to his family.” A cause of death has not been disclosed. Ulrich, who originally hailed from Illinois, was the captain of Northwestern University’s football team in 2004 and signed with the Colts the following year as an undrafted free agent. The offensive guard spent two years with the Colts, and he was part of the 2006 team, which included quarterback Peyton Manning, that beat the Chicago Bears in the 2007 Super Bowl. Ulrich was married and leaves behind four sons. His wife, Alison, wrote a tribute on Facebook, saying: “Our beloved, One of a kind Matt has passed away and is in a better place,” The Indianapolis Star reported. “Matt, we love you so so much. You are profoundly missed. We all want you back for just one more day. One more hug. One more kiss. One more laugh. One more joke. One more wrestle with the boys. It seems impossible to do this life without you,” she wrote. “Please pray for peace and comfort for the boys. They have lost their greatest fan, coach and friend,” she continued." Rest in peace Matt!! My thoughts and prayers go up for Matt's wife and four pre-teen sons.
  3. Not yet - but - soon. I'll post when the voting opens.
  4. HAPPY BYE WEEKEND!!

  5. I'm going with FOUR players: LB Zaire Franklin (the average fan won't know his name - but - players will) DT DeForest Buckner LG Quenton Nelson DT Grover Stewart - or - DB Kenny Moore II - or - K Matt Gay (TIE)
  6. Many of Belichick's former players have been urging him to retire. Belichick said that he wasn't planning to coach past 70. He's past 70. Regardless of whether BB stays with the Patriots - or - is "traded" to the Redskins - he will be in a situation where a rebuild is necessary. That could take a while. The team has disintegrated over the past few years. Does anyone REALLY think that a stubborn "my way or the highway" 70+ year old coach can "relate" to today's generation of players? Didn't think so!!
  7. Honestly - I've thought - for some time - that they should eliminate the "halftime coach interview". The coach has better things to do with that time frame than to talk to a "talking head".
  8. Surprising - but - very very likely!! The new coaching staff has done wonders with this team - and - nailed their 2023 NFL Draft picks!!
  9. ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the NFL is investigating the Cincinnati Bengals for failure to report Joe Burrow on the injury report. Video taken when the Bengals arrived at the stadium with Joe Burrow sporting a right wrist support. I hope that Zac Taylor isn't going to be the next Bill Belichick.
  10. I STAND WITH GROVER STEWART!!

  11. How many Indianapolis Colts players will be selected to the 2024 Pro Bowl?
  12. Unlike Bill Polian - Chris Ballard is upfront with his assessment of the team and what they need to address. His comments about Josh Downs are amazing - and - show why Reggie Wayne was "pounding the table" for the Colts to draft him. I like Chris Ballard and hopes he stays in Indy until he decides to retire!!
  13. Thanks for sharing some of the points that Dr Morse made about our new franchise QB!! That's outstanding news!!
  14. Rob Gronkowski is urging QB Mac Jones to ask for his immediate release since the team obviously has no respect for him and his skill set. Gronkowski also pointed out that the Patriots have mishandled Mac Jones during his maturation period in the NFL. Can't say I disagree with him!! That said - Gronk felt that Mac Jones could step in in Cleveland and help right the sinking ship with a better QB option than the two QBs they currently have on the roster.
  15. MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS BREAK!!

  16. REST UP & HEAL UP!!

  17. Well - we are NOW at Wednesday evening of the Patriots bye week - and - no word from the Patriots front office as to Belichick's future - or - lack thereof. IF he's going to be fired - I'd guesstimate that that should happen in the next day - two at the latest. An "interim coach" will need time to prepare a game plan for the week 12 opponent BEFORE the team returns to practice.
  18. We are now at 3 full years since Deshaun Watson WAS Deshaun Watson!! This may come down to one of the worst trades - AND - worst QB contracts in the history of the NFL. That said - I hope that they can get his shoulder issue addressed completely.
  19. I was a bit stunned when I read this on NFL.com. I don't think it's ego-related at all. I'd be more inclined to believe that it's a lack of trust in his offensive coordinator. Time will tell.
  20. I chose 8 - and - I think that is a fair assessment of the capabilities of our team. FINGERS CROSSED!!
  21. God bless Colts center Ryan Kelly - and - ALL of the NFL players who are dealing with concussions!! I've had 3 - and - I never ever want to have another.
  22. Outstanding overall information. THANKS FOR SHARING!!
  23. The week 10 schedule provided a "Kudos to Kickers" opportunity. NFL record broken: 5 NFL games decided by a field goal with time running out. The MOST games EVER in NFL history on one day!! NFL record broken: 6 NFL games decided by a field goal with time running out. The MOST games EVER in NFL history in one weekend!! KUDOS TO THE KICKERS!!
  24. SERIOUSLY - did ANY OF YOU think that at our bye week break we would be tied with the Buffalo Bills record? Didn't think so. MORE SERIOUSLY - the majority of the games still left on our schedule are both winnable - BUT - loseable. The Colts team has been highly inconsistent this season - for various reasons. Houston is "rocketing" at this point. The Jaguars are ?? at this point. I still feel both teams have a FAR FAR better chance to represent the AFC South in the playoffs. MOST SERIOUSLY - I would rather the team earn a higher draft pick - than a playoff spot.
