  1. I agree, it's way too early to give up on Pierce. But he definitely needs to develop a mean streak, ala Pittman. MJP is aggressive going for the ball, not waiting for it to come to him. Also, if you've watched Pittman's YouTube videos you know he hates it when people say he's not fast. He looked pretty fast outrunning a bunch of Jags in game 1. He's always doubled or bracketed. Hopefully Downs will start drawing more doubles, and we'll get our TEs more involved. But yeah, Pierce definitely has to up his game.
  2. There's a lot of anti-OSU sentiment here. Some have said that no OSU QB is ever good in the NFL. Stroud may disprove that. And I'm not sure Fields is done, he's just on a really bad team. One poster (you know who you are!) said that they never want the Colts to draft any OSU players because they won't be good here. Yeah, the Bosa brothers, Zeke, Garrett Wilson, and dozens others would have tanked with the Colts... sure. BTW, Trey didn't look too bad for only being there a few days.
  3. Yesterday was a prime example of “On any given Sunday”. The Colts will be one of those team, IMO, that could beat anyone or could lose to anyone. (And all the games are on Sunday, right?) Everyone might want to go back and redo their predictions for the final record.
  4. He did have that one good catch earlier. He needs to be more aggressive. He’s supposed to be our deep threat, you have to fight if we’re counting on you for those 50-50 balls.
  5. Bowen always says he’s no USC pretty boy WR. The guy is tough as nails. But he needs to get a helmet strap that works. Besides getting is hat torn off today, that chin strap ends up by the face mask on every catch.
  6. Truly amazing how long it’s been on. Dan is great! And it started out as little five minute clips on the Tracy Ullman show.
  7. When my kids were little they’d ask me who my favorite actor was. I’d always say Homer Simpson.
  8. I asked this question in another post - should Pierce have caught that long ball? I know it was good coverage and he was stripped. But I think Pittman comes down with that ball.
  9. Well…what was the name of the album? You can’t post a meme if you don’t know the answer, lol!
  10. Dry accurate with short passes. You can win like that but it’s tough when they crowd the line. Question - should Pierce have caught that Lon ball that hit his hands? I know it was knocked away, but I feel he should have brought it in. MPJ would have.
  11. That was nearly me last night watching my Buckeyes.
  12. Not complaining, but does anyone understand Shane’s decision on that last play of the first half? (I think that’s when it was). They had an opportunity for a very long Gay FG. And if he missed it, the Ravens wouldn’t have had any time.
  13. They made up for it not calling PI on us. And Kwity’s face mask.
  14. I realize the Ravens were playing with about half of their starters out. And the refs were bad as always, but in our favor for a change. But a win is a win. D played well, even in the 4th Q. The Stash did enough. Moss is a stud. This team could be scary with AR and JT added to the mix.
  15. He came back and played the rest of the game. Tough kid.
  16. Sole possession! At least for a week. I feel bad for all you Colts fans who wanted to tank so we could draft MHJ.
  17. It's pretty certain they're merging. They're looking for a new name now.
  18. His biggest issue is staying healthy. After setting the all time Ohio State single game rushing record with over 330 yards, he ran for nearly 200 yards against Clemson in the playoff game. Then got hurt at the start of the championship game against Bama. I'm not sure if he ever came fully back.
  19. Makes you realize how finely tuned some of these athletes are, especially at the skill positions. RBs get hit hard on just about every play, whether they're carrying the ball or blocking. Kind of makes us understand the Colts reluctance to give big bucks to any RB.
  20. Their D kind of prepares for AR every week anyway. Just as ours prepares for Lamar in practice every week. Playing against a QB that’s less of a running threat must feel like a week off for them.
  21. He’s on the PS. His career has been riddled with injuries. I remember the year he played for the Buckeyes, and he was outstanding. Admittedly he had a great Oline, but he holds the all time single game rushing record for my alma. When you consider the RBs that have played there, that’s pretty impressive. If he’s healthy, he’s better than Funk or Jackson. Big IF.
  22. Brown is Kenny’s backup as the slot CB. Not sure he’d be better than Baker as an outside corner. But I agree, he did not look good the last two games. Pierce is a very good run blocker, from what I can tell. Ogletree is too but he doesn’t give them the same deep threat. McKenzie and Mallory are completely different players. But again, I agree with your general sentiment.
  23. They held out Ogletree and he was fine. You could use the argument that AR is way more important to justify either decision.
  24. My standard joke is that if we’re higher in the rankings it means a better bowl game.
  25. Owners should want the best player for any position, regardless of race, creed or color. It’s in their best financial interest. I’m not sure they have that same mindset when it comes to head coaches.
