  1. So now you are wrong because you didn't start a rumor? Or are you wrong because you did start a rumor but only on this website? I am so confused! Just messing with you. Also I read above here that this is blowing up on Facebook. Big mistake counting on FB for facts.
  2. Don't under estimate the stupidity of some people. As a friend of mine says, "stupid finds a way."
  3. Glad he's helping this animal. She deserves a chance at a better life.
  4. People also said Hynes should get more touches on pass plays. Instead he wasn't used effectively. Was it JT's fault or the play calling/QBs?
  5. As a friend of mine was told when he worked in the White House, "Life is full of difficult compromises." Overpaying any player has risks. And running backs typically have a short life at a high level. Letting a very productive player and a team leader walk to save a few million bucks could really hurt also. I really like JT and would love to see him stay a Colt. I do think having him behind AR would be good for both of them. And I would hope that Steichen would know how to get the best out of that combo. But I don't think we should think about setting the RB market will an over the top contract. And if JT is "Holding In" I am fine with that at this point. You can't blame these guys for trying to get paid since the know they have a short shelf life in the NFL. For this to benefit the Colts - which in the end is what I want - I think both sides will need to make difficult compromises.
  6. Yes! And the weakness is due to trading away AJ Brown. Props to Tennessee!
  7. Bunratty castle near Limerick is fun. Touristy but interesting. Still on that west side. Going up and down the stone spiral staircases and imagining what life was like is amazing.
  8. right - as a camp body I said OK. But I don't see any other reason for picking him up.
  9. Like I said, in my opinion I would rather let our younger guys get the reps - for good or bad. I don't think this guy is a difference maker. Plus the season is a full summer away.
  10. Not sure I understand the reasoning for this: If he is a camp body - OK If the goal is to really have him as a contributor this year I would rather have the young guys we are trying to develop get the reps He is 29 years old so not really a long term answer for anything. He probably isn't improving much at this point in his career. Not the best hands so I don't see why Richardson would need a guy like that to help him. I get the idea of improving all areas of the roster, including the bottom, but like I said I would rather have our young guys get the game experience to see if they will improve even if it means some ugliness.
  11. I loved that he said he doesn't even know how fantasy football works. No time for that!
  12. Inconsiderate for everyone except the owners.
  13. Personally I think the biggest unknown is QB play. We thought with Ryan, who has a history of being a pretty good NFL QB, might have a couple of good years left. That turned out to be wrong. If we start Richardson there are going to be growing pains. He has a lot to learn. And if we start Minshew, well, we will get Minshew. He hasn't shown me he has what it takes to lead this team to the playoffs. So with so much of a team's success depending on high level QB play I am not expecting a playoff appearance. But I would be thrilled if it happened.
  14. One of my favorite kickoff plays - but this is the reason for changing kickoffs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0_rXN5itlg
  15. Thanks for your opinion Doug. But the point is for AR to develop into a dual threat QB. If all he was ever going to be is a runner then we can all agree this isn't what we want. He has shown that he has a very strong arm. Has some skills reading defenses, and even last year you can see when he starts to move around in the pocket he is still looking downfield to complete a pass. And if he can pick up some drive saving 1st downs or even touchdowns with his legs then I am all in on that! Many people thought the west coast offense was a fad, until it wasn't. So, we will see if the experiment works out. If he really becomes a dual threat QB at the NFL level then I wouldn't say there is anything quirky about that.
  16. LOL - Mom's assessment would always be an objective, accurate assessment.
  17. My opinion hasn't changed just based on the draft. Overall my opinion is based on team performance. I was a pretty strong supporter of Ballard until last year. I would say at this point I am neutral. Obviously the big miss over the last few years was the QB position. The retreads were a failed experiment. I understand he isn't 100% responsible for those decisions, but that is how it works when you are the guy at the top. Other than the QB position I would say Ballard has built a good - but not great - roster. There have been some really good decisions and some bad decisions. That's going to be true of any GM. For me in the end it comes down to Wins and Losses. This year won't matter that much as we need to give the new HC and QB time. But after year three if this team isn't at least competing for the AFC South then it would seem Ballard has had his opportunity and it would be time to try something different.
  18. If this is the plan and the direction it seems kickoffs are doomed. Might as well place the ball at the 25 and just forget about kickoffs. I always enjoyed them, but everything changes over time.
  19. All we need is the ability to win. Hype doesn't help that. All that other stuff is not important to me.
