I'm getting an early start on this thread because I need to hand the keys over to a new commissioner for the Joe's League.  @w87r and I are moving up to the Elite League.  So who wants to be the new commish?

Even if it's just a temporary commish "role" on the league site so that you can remove me and @w87r from the league to open up those spots for any other forum members that are interested in joining the Joe's League.  Then ya'll can vote on a commish or anything else ya'll want to, I haven't changed any of the settings from last season.

P.S. -  I thought of myself as a long-term "Joe" guy, and if I hadn't drafted Jonathan Taylor last year, I'd probably still be in the Joe's league.  I've enjoyed the last few years with ya'll.  Thank you!  I'm about to get chewed up and spit out by the Elite League, so see you guys next year probably!  haha

If no one else I probably can

As long as the Colts have a great owner like Irsay, the future will always be bright.

He doesn't meddle in the team's business and he's always ready to spend lots of money. He has good football people that he let's run the team

Imagine having a meddling owner like Jerry Jones who thinks he's a GM or the Chargers owner where he lets his kids run the team.

    That would be terrible!

And it looks like the next Generation (the 3 daughters) will keep it up to, they see what is the  best way to go about the business and to do in the community

I totally agree. Most likely, the MNF winner will get the last divisional round game on Sunday. Even then, it is 1 day less than what playoff teams in the past got. More ways to make money for ESPN/ABC? Typically playoffs are only on NBC, CBS and FOX, correct? Now by putting it on MNF, they get another network involved for the money? I personally do not like it, just like you.

Well ESPN/ABC had a game normally Saturday early game (us last year)

I’m shocked they won without Lamar and Brown. Half the starting line up is out with injuries. I’ll take it.

Well I mean you guys were facing a Matt Nagy coached team, so that makes up for you guys missing playershaha

I was thinking we probably need Steelers to lose tonight to give them that 4th loss.

Yes Texans beat them. Titans lost brown in the game. Don’t know if he came back in.

I would rather the Steelers win. The steelers do not look good overall, and I expect they will start losing a lot more. I would rather the Charges get the extra loss today

I do.  Saying anything except "the jury is out until year 3" is premature drivel from either side.

We can look back now and say Nelson, Leonard, and Smith were great picks, but even that is premature because it's only been one year.

This entire "HoF" 2018 draft class might completely $#!+ the bed this year (God, I hope not), in which case, Ballard didn't "nail it" and hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt.

So far, so good, but the jury is out until 2021.  :hat:

So Lucky, has the jury finally returned??

  6. For me, if he just doesnt grab, he would not be bad or criticized. To me it was the grabbing that was the problem, lead his hand open and he will get away with it and not get called. He got beat in good coverage, his weakness is grabby

yeahhhh but, all of those playoff teams were qb'd by either Peyton or Luck, right?

it's not just being healthy, it's having a HOF qb

And ik, I just been thinking about this since the second Brissett got ruled out for MIA game. At that point I realized our season hopes were over. Again, it is fully based on in my lifetime, Harbaugh was only qb few games the year I was born, Brissett, starts 15/16 both years but the first was as the backup not original starter. And yes HOF QB is always gonna help, but I feel if Brissett had not missed the MIA game we would  be in the playoffs.

  8. Since 1997, the Colts have never made the playoffs in a year in which the same QB did not start in all 16 games. In that same time, the Colts missed the playoffs only twice when that happened (1998, 2001). In their entire Indianapolis History the Colts have made the playoffs 3 seasons when that was the case including a strike year (1987) and the back to back (1995, 1996). While this doesn't mean much, I found it interesting as that means in my lifetime (Born 1997), the Colts need the same qb to start all 16 games. Even 15/16 doesn't do it and we seem to miss the playoff by one game at that point.

Also, since I started watching the Colts in 2005ish the Colts have made the playoffs every year that the Colts QB started all 16 games.

Besides the Pittsburgh game all our tough out of division games are at home. It’s a favorable schedule considering.  I think last time GB came to town we had one heck of a comeback with Arians as coach. Was that the first game after Chuck was diagnosed with cancer?

It was the First ChuckStrong game. Comeback win. Reggie with his orange gloves.
