Visiting the week of August 12. Will be at the Colts-Browns practices and preseason game. Looking for things to do Tuesday and Friday when they are off. . Some insight on BBQ bash and Thirsty Thursday. Also any casino recommendations locally.

The one time I did BBQ Bash it was incredibly busy. I would say find your seat early and make sure at least some stays there.

 I like Jim Sorgi, but he never really even looked good in pre season games. He was really good at breaking down film with Peyton. That is the reason he stayed around so long. That, and no other QB wanted to be his backup because they would never see the field.

I would love that position! No fear of getting injured, get publicity of being a player, its even better than Punter and Kicker, and you know thats hard for me to sayhaha

That would mean he’s was in his late 40s when we won our last super bowl. He must have been so young when he became owner.

Ya when his dad died in '97 he became the youngest owner in the NFL (History maybe) at age 37. He's the only colts owner I have known in my life

I’m guessing 5.  Luck, TY, Ebron, Nelson, Maniac.

A few others, like Mack, Kelly, and Moore probably deserve it but probably won’t get a mention.

Luck should be top 10, maybe top 5.

I was just thinking about this recently too, and came to the same 5. TY is always a good bet to make it. Luck is now back to being a top QB. Ebron had a big year and they normally will pick those guys. Nelson is one of the best Oline guys in the league it is believed and Maniac is DROY and thus will be included.

The hat I always wear is the SB Championship hat I bought. It's white and in blue says Super Bowl XLI Champions on it with a horse shoe under those words. It is 12 years old so it is a faded white due to being washed several times.

I almost never where that hat as I dont want that to happen, I wear it on the Anniversary if I wear it. I am someone that has a lot of hats though. 3 colts that I wear, numerous ones that I dont due to signed. A bunch of Cubs, some other Baseball Teams, and some other teams. I like to wear hats most days and thus have a lot of different ones. I just try to avoid wearing SB one as I dont want to ruin it

    Besides AC and Setele.

I'm an AC guy. Always liked him. He's gotten a bad rap at times, but he wouldnt be easy to replace.

I remember the Patriots passed on him (a Boston college guy), and took Saffold I think instead.

    They took Nate Solder

Report came out yesterday that they know something happened, but will not proceed with charges because lack of evidence.

But left open possibility of charging in future if something changed. The video coming out would seem to be a reason to open it back up. If it is authenticated, most likely will bring charges.

Just watched Episode 4 of 'With the Next Pick.'  It's always fun to speculate about who coaches/scouts are talking about.

The OC, Sirianni, has a quote in the draft room saying something like "I like this kid, he's got toughness.  He's different than other track guys, I think he's got some confidence."

I was kind of wondering if he was eluding to Metcalf there.  I could be way off, and I don't see Metcalf having been a track athlete at Ole Miss... but he kind of reminds me of a 'track guy' in the DHB mold (with better hands).  A burner with straight away speed, with limited ability to run routes or bring multiple threats to the opponent.  Who knows though, with TY, Funchess, Ebron, etc.. maybe a burner that can take the top off a defense is just what we need.

That sounds more like Hollywood Brown as he is a speed/jet type guy. Which track comparison makes sense

    Its perfect for him.

The history of the NFL in 30 half hour episodes..

It starts July 15 on ESPN..Im not sure if its free ESPN or their pay channel

But he's visiting people and places that stood out in NFL history.

This is such a natural idea in the 100th year of the league and Peyton, with his history,  is the natural choice to host it...

    Sounds like a great idea.

I believe it is the ESPN+ from what I last saw

With the over/under having us at 9.5 wins, I copied and pasted this from my post in December.  Many times it is not just who you play, but when you play them.  This schedule should allow us to get off to a strong start and then get 3 of the final 4 at home against the division.  With a possible 5-1 start in our sights, I'll take the over.

I get what you are saying but I still think Trout gets too much hype. See the Baseball thread and my post. Tell me he is better than any of the players I have listed. You may think so because you are younger than me, so not a knock against you. No biggy. In football it is a true team game as well and Luck can't play defense but he is still a huge difference maker. I am not a huge fan of WAR or PER or even QB rating. Those systems are flawed.

I agree WAR is flawed, but is much better to compare generations as it evens out so that one generation is not weighted to heavily

Good points but the way people talk about Trout you would think he has won 2 or 3 WS by now and he is the best of all-time. I get that it is a team sport but even Luck with a bad roster won 3 playoff games in his 1st 3 years. Also Tony Gwynn was a lifetime .336 hitter for example, Trout is not the player Gwynn was. I can name at least 20 players all-time since just 1980 that are better than Trout. I know I am knocking Trout which is unfortunate because I do think he is great and a good guy but I think people tend to overrate him, JMO.

You still trying to compare luck to trout. It is harder, think about the Cubs, they had Rizzo and Castro lost a hundred games. Bryant, Javy, Lester, Etc come and they win WS. It is easier in NFL to have a great QB take you to the playoffs, MLB you need supporting cast no matter how good. Look at some of the other top players.

And again Batting AVG is so different now compared to then. Ted Williams hit over .400 at one point. WRC, WAR, these stats adjust for era and Ballpark and are much better than batting AVG. And I mean Tony Gwynn was great but he had a lot more going for him then just AVG if he only had avg it never would be enough for Hall of Fame

I cover Baseball as much as I do football. I think Trout is a great player but overrated for many reasons. He has never been on a team that has won a playoff game and he has only made the playoffs once in his 8 yr career. He has never been a huge difference maker. His lifetime batting avg is .307 = great by not eye popping, no where near like a Tony Gwynn type of hitter. In his 8 yr career he averages 30 HR's a season = good but not great. Kris Bryant has only been in the league for 4 years and already has won an MVP and a World Series and doesn't make near the money Trout makes. I just don't think Trout deserves the contract he got nor did Harper.

Now to the video, Luck is such a nerd but I love it. Funny stuff.

You gotta remember WAR, that is why he gets ranked so high. It is baserunning, hitting, fielding, discipline. Why he is ranked high. Batting AVG doesn't show nearly as much, and remember some of the years he was injured for most. And use in context of todays game for homeruns, that is pretty high. And playoffs in baseball is team so much more than even football. Luck can signal handly change the level of team as we have seen. Baseball no matter who, cannot single change. If pitching staff sucks even the best hitter ever can't get that team to playoffs as he can only hit once every 9 times

Trout and Luck...seems like an odd pairing...but it sort of works. Both are goofy looking dudes.

Not really sure who the equivalent of Trout in the NFL would be...he's the best ever.

Not as odd as you may think. Both stars of their leagues that aren't big for the spotlight. Humbled. Kinda works for that reason.

Ballard always makes it sound so easy.  We've all worked with different types of bosses.

His confidence and attitude has DEFINITELY trickled down thru the organization.  Seemingly from day one.  I know i sleep well with "my team" in his hands.

And credit Irsay too.  He has stepped back from the social media.  Jim has never made the Colts about him.  And he's shown again he knows how to hire the right people for the job.

I like that he is not forcing his ideas on players. I like that he interacts and let fans know different things thats going on and supporting players. Also of course like his contest
