It was obviously something they saw on film where that LB rushed, and since it was earlier in the game, it could be overcome, which we could have if not for Luck's turnovers, IMO.

 

Not a huge factor. If it is a 4th and 1 in opponent territory on the road (like the 2014 Broncos regular season game opening drive that we did not go for it), I'd want them to set the tone by going for it. This one was purely based on what they saw on film, not a big deal that it was attempted nor the fact that it did not work.
