1. Detroit Lions RB Mikel LeShoure recently became the father of a baby boy who was named after him !!

He immediately asked the equipment manager to change the "nameplate" on the back of his jersey to LeShoure SR. !!

Think he's a "proud papa" ??

2. Former Colts QB Peyton Manning continues to impress me as one of the NFL's "classiest players" !!

Recently - Peyton hosted a young Denver Broncos fan at a Bronco's practice. The reason - the boy shares his name - Peyton Manning !!

Peyton autographed a football for the young man - and - took time to pose for photographs !!

3. The family of former Cowboys (and Colts) LB Jerry Brown Jr have literally "raised the bar" on the very definition of "class" !!

Jerry Brown and Josh Brent - the intoxicated friend who cost him his life - had been teammates at Illinois AND the Cowboys and were close friends !!

The family INSISTED that Brent be invited to the Cowboys memorial service for Brown earlier this week - AND - insisted that he SIT WITH THE FAMILY !!

Brown's mother indicated - that despite the tragedy - she still considered Brent to be "like a son" to her !!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and teammates of these two young men !! May Josh Brent find a way to turn this tragedy in to something positive !!
