  1. Do you believe rookie lineman are what they are when they are drafted, or do you believe they can get stronger and better?
  2. My reaction: I was bummed watching this game. But I don't think it was reasonable for anyone to believe we were going to finish 12 and 5 in 2023. My word of caution for the 'more passionate' amongst us: I suspect the Colts will lose another game or two before this season is over. But, we'll win a couple more too. This summer, who would have thought that 10 and 7; or even 11 and 6 were possibilities for this year? Be happy that the team we are fans of is doing so well!
  3. Michael Pittman is one of my favorite Colts. I try to follow as closely as social media will allow. I know the Pittmans want to build a house in Indiana. I believe they have the acreage picked out. But they're waiting to know their future before they pull that trigger.
  4. I liked to joke with my soldiers that I all wanted for Christmas was some cartilage in my knees.
  5. I like Bubba. But he was part of the regime. You can't accept a report on the regime from a person who is part of the regime. If the goal was to win a few more games, Bubba would have been the right choice. If the goal was to triage the whole organization, it had to be an outsider. It had to be an outsider who was trusted. That is a very small group to choose from.
  6. There is talent on this team. There was talent on this team last year, too. The difference is and has been coaching. The mediocrity you're feeling is the missing piece or two who ties it all together. QB play for one, and I feel confidently that we already own this piece. Just have to polish and protect him. We really are that close, otherwise this team would not be 'over producing' this year. I am reminded of Heraclitus when I think of this team. We're missing the one.
  7. I think what he is saying is this: Luck did not suffer any injury that prevented him from continuing to perform his role. Luck choose to retire because of his injuries; but there was never an injury that prevented Andrew Luck from continuing as a franchise QB in the NFL. Luck chose to quit because he was tired of being injured. But he was not forced into retirement because his injuries prevented him from performing, if he'd have chosen to continue.
  8. All these flavors and you had to choose salty.
  9. Thumb? Paging Mr. Lott. Ronnie Lott to the white courtesy phone, please.
  10. I choose to not be worried. In fact, I would have liked it much better if he had helped the Colts win it all. But it seemed that no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't.
  11. I think you are correct. My opinion is some sort of HR action took place. Something occurred. Something that would be inappropriate for company Leaders to discuss openly. Something that necessitated the highly unorthodox nature of this release.
  12. That was my time. I never met Damon Bailey, but I went to middle School and high school with Brian Evans.
  13. By your user name, I am going to guess you're contemporary with Brian Evans and Damon Bailey?
  14. All I did was walk a lot and blow &$#% up. LOL And yes, the 10th Mountain was a good place to be a young leader. I enjoyed my time there more than even my time in the 101st Airborne or my year in Korea.
  15. Agreed. Even with Minshew, with a burner who can catch and another stud Corner back; this is a different team. And both of those can be found in the first two rounds next year; and quality talent at either of those positions can produce as rookies. This. Team. In. Not. Far. Away.
  16. I'll take, "Tell me you don't follow the Colts closely without telling me that you don't follow the Colts closely."
  17. You might be right. But lots of can't miss starters have failed. Its the nature of the draft. There is risk when you choose anyone.
  18. The first thing you learn when training combatives is how to fall. Before you punch and before you kick, you practice going to the ground without being harmed. It is a thing to learn. I hope he does.
  19. They voted on this in August. From the article: “Indianapolis’ Capital Improvement Board announced in August that it would change the turf starting in the 2024-25 season,” Peterson writes. “The current turf will be ripped out of Lucas Oil Stadium in March to make way for an Olympic-sized pool for the 2024 U.S Olympic Swimming Trials, and it will be replaced with a monofilament-style turf.”
  20. He hasn't finished his games. This is known; but I'm not sure I'd label him as 'fragile'. Its not like its the same body part, or area over and over again. He had a bruised knee - that he could have come back into the game for (coaches left him on the sidelines during garbage time). Then he had a concussion (that he was insightful enough to self-report). Then he had a linebacker land on his throwing shoulder. I don't see fragile, yet. I see opportunity for him to learn how to protect himself.
  21. puh-Leeze. Why you wanna do me dirty like that. LOL #SLTW
