  1. So what's everyone's opinions of the 2025 draft class? I was looking at it and, while not an expert, I didn't see any names that popped out to me. Could there be a possibility of a weaker draft class next year, and if so, would you be willing to trade away that future first to get a blue chip talent this year?
  2. If they do its time to look for a new QB. This year just needs to be used to build around the QB as much as possible.
  3. Actually, I think if that call didn't happen and the rest of the season remained the same. We would be going against the Texans again right now.
  4. Crazy how that one bad call changed it for so many. They could of been saved this embarrassment had the league not mess that up. Crazy.
  5. I didn't think about the LEO part. With the stat you posted that had him at 4.7 makes me think he's to good to pass up. If he is that good tho, he won't make it to 15. I agree that those people would have to be off the board before taking Bowers. Might even put Verse up there but Imma need to do some more homework on him. If we trade down I hope we then grab T Franklin. Steichan can scheme that speed up.
  6. I'd take Bowers over Turner and Laitu. Laitu seems like a 3-4 edge from whatbive read, and I'm honestly not convinced on Thomas. I really think he is height weight speed prospect that benefitted from having Daniel's and Nabers on offense. I would also take Bowers over T Franklin at 15 also. Franklin at 15 is a bit of a reach to me. At this point and time at least. He won't make it out of the first round but he isn't mid first rd in this draft. Likely candidate to rise post combine. Verse and Turner are more projects imo. They'll need a year or two of development before making an impact or even be in the starting line up.
  7. That would be Josh Allen, Brian Burns, and Danielle Hunter. Hunter is the only one that will hit FA most likely. He is 29 so it might be a good signing, but I'll bet he dosnt come here unless we throw the bank at him. Which we shouldn't.
  8. WR > TE most definitely. It would have to be all receivers are gone and he looks better than the DEs available.
  9. I'm on the fence with some and havnt seen others. I will check them out. Thank you. T Franklin is one that I would trade a few spots back and take. It would be really bad if he made it to the Texans or Chiefs.
  10. Say one of the upper ranked qb prospects ends up falling and makes it to us in rd 2. Do we take a chance on them as the backup?
  11. Odunze is my rd 1 draft want. I live in Tacoma WA so I've been hearing about him and penix all year. Hawks fans that I know want Penix. The biggest thing for me is to make sure Richardson has a plethora of weapons. The dude has a big arm, has shown the ability to have the pass be placed in the perfect place, and has superior pocket awareness. Let give him some blue-chip talent to pass to so he dosnt have to run all over the place. This is why I like Bowers at 15. He is only a TE and we need blockers, not receivers, at TE. He seems to be blue-chip to me as a pass catcher and that goes well with rookie QBs. If nobody is there to provide a weapon for Richardson, then a DE has dropped. I'm not overly impressed but a swing at Verse and Turner is worth a shot. Latu and Chop I'm warry on. Chop has bust and I don't know if Latu will fit our current D.
  12. The only issue I have with waiting for a WR in rd2 even if Odunze I'd there, is that any ol WR isn't going to move the needle on improving our WR room. In fact is say most of the Rd2 guys are gonna be hard pressed to even push Pierce for playing time. They would have to stretch a defense better than him for that. It's really gonna be interesting who falls to us at 15. With all the qb's and tackles that deserve to be top 10 someone will he pushed down to us. Whether it's a WR, Bowers, or a DE. One of these that belongs in the top 10 will fall to us. A CB would he if they somehow didnt.
  13. So Ballard has two top 10 tackles and didnt use a first rd pick for either. Interesting.
  14. Hope for a quick recovery.
  15. Our TE group is really under whelming. Granson and Mallory can make some decent catches but are not starters. Mo is inconsistent in blocking and catching. We don't really have any that excel at blocking. Woods was gone all season for multiple hamstrings along with questions about his conditioning. Hopefully he comes back as there were flashes. Ogletree is most likely gone. That position was hit like CB. Had alot of potential there annnnnnnnnd its gone... If the board falls to where Bowers is at 15, then the top tier of WRs are most likely gone. He would be a welcome addition. That's only one possible scenario, so Mark Andrew's would be a welcome addition at I'd say a third.
  16. We don't need to make a splash to get what we need out of the FS position. We needs a Mike Adams really. He wasn't anything spectacular outside of his experience as a safety. That alone put him in the right spot and helped our secondary. He was probably the best free safety we have had in a long time too.
  17. Glad he is staying. Let's keep turning at his backup until the replacement is there.
  18. I think we are gonna get a good player at 15 no matter what. I know it's been said before, but with so many tackles and QBs and so many qb and tackle needy teams there are, these guys are gonna get pushed down to us. Odunze, Nabers, and Bowers are the pass catchers that can fall. Verse, Turner, and Latu would be the DE's. I'm not interested in Chop. If we choose Latu I'd say Paye is gone. They seem the same to me and both belong at RDE. Newton is my oddball pick at DT but I think he would be a good addition. I know the forum would freak but getting Newton in RD1 and Sweat (NT, Texas) in Rd 2 would give us a scary interior for years to come. That's 7 players, and one will get pushed down to us due to the 4 qbs and 4 tackles that could go before our pick. There's Harrison too but he will be pushing someone down to us, not making it to us. More than likely a DE will be pushed down to us or Bowers. I spoke on Latu. Verse and Turner will need time.
  19. Dosnt effect the play really. So, oh well. Games over. We lost. On with it.
  20. I mentioned in a post a few pages back about that play. To me it seemed Cross should of dropped but he had to pay attention to the TE heading towards his zone. Our LB (couldn't say who) was on that TE like glue throughout the route. Was this a scheme issue, did they just draw up a good play against our zone, or was it an execution error on Cross's part? I think it was an execution error. Could also he called a poor choice I guess.
  21. I think for Bradley staying, you don't bring in a high pick at CB. Reason being is that's a new body to learn the system. Bring in another depth piece and a veteran for the corners. What we will need for his scheme is a smart playmaking safety. Football smart not Yale smart. The safeties have to be smart in this scheme. The while reason Nico got the TD on the opening drive is because Brent's didn't get help up top from Cross like he was supposed to. Alot of big plays could of been avoided if Thomas was in the right spot. Blackmon did play decent so SS is covered IMO.
  22. I collect it as one memory to keep count low lol
  23. Between the Vikings and the Giants games, theres some revenge to get there. I want to demolish the Giants in particular. Want that nighty night dude to get demolished.
  24. We're gonna get a WR, people will cry he isn't our best receiver in his first year, we will hear the year 3 troupe, he does well enough eventually but never lives up to what people see as a first round wide receivers production. Labeled bust. Calling the story line now.
  25. It's tougher than this year, but middle of the road in strength. A playoff berth is possible.
