  1. Your fanbase had a little more patience with Cousins because he is good, like I told @NFLfan, wait and see how life without Kirk is. Good luck next season because to be honest they will finish 3rd in their division at best without Kirk. You need good QB play to beat teams like the Lions and Packers. You guys hopefully will take Penix or Nix and not JJ Jones. I like the Vikings and my father was a Vikings fan from 1973-2019 to the day he passed way. So I have spent a lot time invested in the franchise. I can tell you everything about the Vikings regarding what SBs they have went too with Bud Grant, their 1998 team with Moss and Carter, etc..
  2. - I have him trading down on a year where this is a perfect year to trade up and get a generational WR. This is the best WR class I have seen in years. = Marv, Nabors, Rome, Thomas, even Bowers who is a TE but like Dallas Clark.
  3. Irsay should sue those people saying it was a drug overdose. I bet if that happens, they will shut their traps when his name is mentioned again in the news . He threatened to sue ESPN a while back for what they said and he still could, the statute of limitations here in Indiana is 2 years to sue someone for defamation.
  4. Carson Wentz could not carry Kirk Cousins jock strap. It isn't even close between the 2 career wise, look it up. Cousins is much better than Wentz and is still a good QB today. Had we had Cousins in 2021 instead of Wentz, we would have won 11 games and won a playoff game at worse. I have never said Cousins is great, but he is good and with the right team can win a lot of games. I blame the Vikings FO for never having a good defense when Cousins was there. I have read on other sites that a lot of your fanbase wants JJ McCarthy. JJ freakin McCarthy, really . There is not 1 thing he does better than Michael Penix Jr.. His TEAM beat Penix.
  5. Great win tonight. I thought Haliburton played better and Turner and Pascal looked great. Series is on now at 1-1, + we have HCA as well. NBA.com has us a 55% chance of winning the series.
  6. Cubs defeat Astros 7-2. Now only .5 out of 1st place. NL Central Standings as of April 23rd: 1. Brewers 14-8 2. Cubs 14-9 3. Reds 13-10 4. Pirates 13-11 5. Cards 10-14
  7. Cubs still 1.5 games out of 1st place in the NL Central. Brewers in 1st, it's early.
  8. I will play this game, but I know what he should do. He should trade up to 4 with Arizona and draft Marvin. What will he do is the topic and I have a sick feeling he is going to trade back, so I voted that. I will still stick to my guns, trading next year's 1st round pick and next year's 2nd round pick + this year's 15th to get that 4 this year isn't giving up the future and it makes us go from a 9-8 team to an 11-6 team. Disagree with me all you want, that's fine but this is my opinion. He would give us a huge deep threat and just a generational WR to go with Pittman and Downs, with Taylor running the Ball. AR would have a dangerous team then. Our O.Line played good last year for the most part as well. With Ogletree back in the mix, he and Granson both are good enough at TE.
  9. Nix and Penix is like splitting hairs. Penix ran a pro-style offense at Washington and passed a lot and beat Nix twice. Nix is good though. Maybe they should take Spencer Rattler
  10. Marvin but it will never happen. We will probably trade back even. It has nothing to do with his father playing here either, it is about getting the best player in the draft. His father playing here is just the neat part.
  11. Spencer Rattler better than Michael Penix Jr and Nix. Wow! That has to be one of the most ridiculous takes I have ever heard. To be honest I have never heard of that Tice guy either. McCarthy will be the biggest bust in this draft and I feel confident in saying so. McCarthy = Mac Jones. Washington went as Penix went, he had to carry Washington all season with an above average O.Line and average running game. He had Rome and that was about it. McCarthy had the best O.Line in the country and arguably the best running game as well. He was a game manager and could win as long as he didn't turn it over. Michigan beat Washington because they ran for nearly 300 yards. Tommie Frazier would have won it all with that type of offense and he wasn't even drafted. Regarding Kirk Cousins, at least you don't have him to pile on anymore. You will see how life without Kirk is, the Vikings will be lucky to win 7 games and I like the Vikings as a team. My father would be so disappointed in the Vikings FO right now and their fans at the way Kirk was treated. He was still alive in 2018 when the Vikings got Kirk and he loved the move. He was the biggest fan I ever knew. He loved them when they got Fran in the 70's and was a fan until he passed away in 2019. His favorite player was Peterson in this era. He said he would take him over any RB that ever played except maybe Barry Sanders. Kirk Cousins career with the Vikings: 2018-2023 *50-37-1 Record. A playoff win at New Orleans Saints in 2019, beating Brees. *4 seasons with over 4000 yards *3 seasons with over 30 TD's *7.8 Y/A *68% Completion I know, they should draft Penix.
  12. Broncos traded for Wilson, man look out now that makes them the Favorite to win it all. Broncos are a mess and haven't won jack since Peyton left .
  13. We live and die by the 3-point shot and couldn't hit a Bulls behind with a bass fiddle on Sunday. Haliburton can play the Magic Johnson role as in 20 points, 12 assists, 8 rebounds and let's say make 3 of 4 3s. His 20 along with 3 3s or so will go a long way if he gets everyone involved efficiently. Efficient is the key word to allow Pascal, Turner, McConnell, and Nembhard to have open 3 looks and we knock them down (Pascal more inside from his passes). We have to win tonight because almost nobody comes back from 0-2. It has happened but not much. We win tonight, it is a 50/50 series from there + we get HCA.
  14. Not the result I expected, that was bad. Game 2 is a must win now, have to split in the 1st 2 to have a chance. Road teams that lose the 1st 2 games, lose 90% of all series. Can't fall behind 2-0.
  15. It seems like with Ballard it has a Mike Tomlin type of feel. Tomlin knows as long as he can keep the Steelers at least average they won't fire him. He and the owner really get along. Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game since the 2016 season - let that sink in. Ballard and Irsay get along very well and for the most part in the Ballard era we have been average at worse and not a bad team other than Ballard's 1st year (2017 - Luck was injured so I don't blame Ballard for that) and in (2022). I think by drafting AR, that bought Ballard at least 2 more years because we really won't know how great AR can be for at least 2 more years, unless he just has a surprising breakout season in 2024. If AR pans out, then Ballard deserves to stay but AR bought him more time is the way I see it.
  16. I am happy with Ballard bringing back most of our players, we have some good players and it is good chemistry wise, but we still lack a huge playmaker and a really good CB.
  17. I am still trying to figure out how trading this year's 15th, next year's 1st round pick and even a 2nd round pick next year is trading away our future to move up into the top 10 this year? It's giving up 2 picks next season. Giving up your future would be like trading away 2 1st round picks = next year and in 2026 and 2 2nd round picks for example - that would be too much. People complain over and over that we never win anything, and we are average but yet the same people don't want Ballard to take any chances to get better.
  18. Nah, I have came to my senses, I would rather be like you and just stay average and go 9-8 every year, never win anything. Never take any chances to improve our team/roster by moving up in the draft, not getting AR any huge playmakers to help him out and hear you and half the forum complain about our roster and why we went 9-8 again. That's the ticket .
  19. To your 1st sentence, winning 11 games should be the goal every year because it will get you into playoffs 99% of the time. If your team wins 11 games, it is good and relevant. You don't win 11 games on a fluke. We have won 11 games once since 2014 when we had great Andrew Luck. We won 9 last year despite AR missing most of the season and our secondary playing poorly. We were a play or 2 away from winning the division and winning 10. 11 wins will win the division, it is called baby steps and AR getting more confident being able to win. I believe we are 1 huge playmaker away from being much better than last year and we won 9 games. It is a shame some in here don't think a WR like Marvin or even Nabors would not improve this team 1 or 2 games and make AR's life easier and a more exciting team to watch. I think after being average since 2015, it is time to put up or shut up. The only 2 legit seasons I can say we were good is in 2018, and 2020 under Ballard. Tell me I am wrong, because if you do, you are in denial. We won 10 games in 2018 + a playoff game = 11, and in 2020 we won 11 games. Thank you, Rivers, for 1 very good season (2020).
  20. For some reason his 6.7 per completion average got whited out. Having said that FWIW: I think Trevor is a good QB, not great but definitely good. So I agree with you for the most part. He did have a very good year 2 and his team won the South in 2022.
