  1. Re-do, now we have the actual matchups, at work the 4 of us decided just to make predictions round to round. Still $100 on it. The person that gets a series right gets 1 point - you get a point for each series predicted right. Picking the NBA Champion right, you get 3 points. In any series, if you pick the exact outcome in terms of games, you get an extra point as well, like saying a team will win 4-3 and if that is correct, you get an extra point. East #1 Celtics vs #8 Heat (Celtics 4-1) #4 Cavs vs #5 Magic (Cavs 4-3) #2 Knicks vs #7 Philly (Philly 4-2) #3 Bucks vs #6 Pacers (Pacers 4-2) West #1 Thunder vs # 8 Pelicans (Thunder 4-2) #4 Clippers vs #5 Mavs (Mavs 4-3) #2 Nuggets vs #7 Lakers (Nuggs 4-3) #3 Wolves vs #6 Suns (Suns 4-2)
  2. Brenna Stewart was just as great and even had a better resume. It was before your time but nobody was better than Cheryl Miller, she could beat Reggie one on one up until Reggie's senior year in high school. Clark is in this convo though.
  3. Would Cincy have made the SB without taking Chase at #5. I got the answer, and it is easy, it is a FAT NO. They would have never got by KC as great as Burrow is. Giving up next years 1st round pick isn't the end of the world to land a generational WR. We still have picks in rounds 2-7 if we did that.
  4. Trading away next year's 1st isn't trading the future away. #2, the Colts will give AR at least 2 years to prove himself, even if he stinks next year he isn't going anywhere under a rookie contract. Anyone that can't see trading up for a guy like Marvin just blows my mind in this day and age of how valuable the WR is. Nice correction to my post
  5. When Marvin has 90-100 catches next season and over 1000 yards as a rookie + turns Murray's career around, I want you to remember this post assuming the Cards do take Marvin.
  6. It depends on how good AR will be, if he is good we can win 11 with the help of another great player, we won 9 with Minshew, should have been 10.
  7. Even in 2021 draft Chase was selected 5th by the Bengals, best move they have ever made. That gave Burrow gigantic help. They did the right thing and got Burrow what he needed.
  8. Actually the 2020 Draft the one I was talking about had Herbert go at 6 and Tua went at 5, Burrow was #1. You just posted the 2021 Draft.
  9. There is, but there are not many WR's that have came out like Marvin. He is a generational type WR. I also think Nabors will very good at worse. JMO, maybe I am wrong?
  10. Cubs are blowing the doors off the Marlins, we are about to be tied for 1st in the Central. This game is over already. 7-0 Cubs after the 3rd on the home of the 2016 World Series Champs.
  11. If a player like Marvin doesn't work out, I will buy you a steak dinner at St Elmo, that is how sure I am that Marvin will be great. Same for Nabors.
  12. When has he ever traded up to get a great player coming out to move into the top 5? IMO he takes the conservative approach which I am ok with, but he never takes huge chances. Don't give me, he traded up for Taylor either, it was like 3 spots in Round 2? Hell, several people in here still bash the guy for not trading up to try and get Herbert in 2020. I defended Ballard there because we got Buckner and signed Rivers.
  13. It got the Falcons to a SB, yes Matt Ryan was great basically from 2008-2017 but without Jones in 2016, not even Matty Ice gets them to a SB.
  14. Not only that rumor has it that the Cards want to trade that pick is why I posted what I posted. We just never take any huge chances. What is Ballard afraid of? He already gets bashed by half the fanbase anyway. AR needs all the help he can get is how I look at things. If AR has a good season, then yes, we could win 11 games with a better playmaker on offense.
  15. Mad Mel is on the McAfee show, this guy does a great Mel impression, it has me falling on the floor laughing, he even has the glasses going.
  16. Yeah, this place is either going to happy or implode because nobody in here has any idea what Ballard will do or who he will pick.
  17. Antonio Brown now making inappropriate comments about her on twitter. She blocked him on twitter. Some people are so ridiculous in this world. I should create a twitter account and tell him, he has an IQ of room temperature which is 68 in my house
  18. Let me say this first so you won't poke fun at my post, I know this would never happen, but I would trade up to 4 and draft Marvin. Even if it took this years 15th, next years 1st, and giving up Pierce. Ballard never gambles to get the very best and that is why many in here are bothered by him. I like Ballard's approach for the most part. I loved bringing everyone back because we have good players, and it is good for chemistry. Now and then to get better, you need to gamble a little and trust your instincts though. As of now I look at our team as a 9 win team without another playmaker on offense. 9 wins is good, makes for a fun season, but it doesn't get you anywhere when you have KC, Baltimore, Cincy winning 12. Houston probably winning 11.
  19. Justice is served. He wasn't found guilty of anything and the kid can move on with his life being a Colt.
  20. - unfortunately you are probably right.
  21. If we trade back, I won't be happy at all. We need an impact playmaker at WR. Pittman is a good #1 (not great), he is a good possession WR which is needed. Having said that, we need someone that can blow the doors off of teams that they fear like a Marvin, Nabors, or Rome. In today's league you have to score a lot of points to win - keep up with teams like the Chiefs, Ravens, and Cincy with Burrow. We need to trade up, JMO.
  22. You have and I appreciate it, that is why I was surprised you called me out over something I said whether it was 3 or 2 years ago - who really cares. I know it wasn't last year and I never created a thread saying he was coming back either. I went back and looked at every single thread I created. I know the exact post I made so I never denied what I said or said you were wrong but I could have sworn it was before we signed Wentz. Like I said, in my book we are good. One of my best friends here over 8 years wanted me to quit PMing them because we had some differences, silly crap if you ask me, so I haven't PM'd them in almost a month, tell me something once, that is all I need. Life goes on. The way I look at things, a person either likes me or they don't - pretty simple in my eyes. If they don't than oh well. I have always been like that in life outside of here. I have a great life and doing well health and money wise, so I am good.
