  1. Choosing just 4 is tough because George McGinnis who won a State Championship in 1969 at Washington High School here in Indianapolis and he won 2 ABA Championships with the Pacers in the ABA on top of it could easily make this list. My Father graduated from Washington in 1969 as well and told me when I was around 9 or 10 that McGinnis was the greatest player he ever seen period.
  2. Nice Rod Woodson. Can't say you are wrong. Standout player at Purdue and a Hall of Famer in the NFL. A lot of people don't like Bob Knight so I get it. One of my best friends doesn't have Knight on it either. He has Jeff Gordon instead because of racing (this is a racing state) and Gordon going to high school here, growing up here and dominating the Brick Yard 400 in NasCar.
  3. I made my call to Ballard. I told him we should take a Guard at 15. He asks why, I said just pee everyone off in here. He said well do 2006.
  4. I can't believe LeBron is still this great. He is a walking TDB machine; AD is a monster on the Boards and his defense is relentless. If you believe in conspiracy theories here is the best one: = The league wants LeBron to end up with more Championships than Steph, it 4-4 right now. The league and media want LeBron to tie Magic and Kobe with 5 rings so he can be more legit in the GOAT argument with Jordan who has 6.
  5. I have a sick feeling, the Lakers may win this somehow. They are killing everyone over the last 3 weeks. Pacers did beat them recently though . The only other 2 games they lost was because AD and LeBron sat out vs the Wolves and Warriors. Denver has owned them and Coach Malone says his team owns them, I heard AD talking today and he said he wants major revenge. That is all, he and LeBron talked about in the off season was playing Denver again.
  6. I will do my re-parings once the playin games are over. That is what we are doing at work too. This playin has been wild, @Yoshinatorhow do you feel about taking on a Lakers team that didn't try to avoid you? AD and Lebron are both healthy too, does that scare you? The Lakers have now quietly won 12 of 15 games to end the season + the playin win.
  7. My Mt Rushmore for sports figures in Indiana are: 1. Peyton Manning - Played from 1998-2010 seasons. Won a SB, went to 2 SB's, won 4 League MVP's while here in Indianapolis. 2. Reggie Miller - Was a Pacer from the 1988-2005 seasons. He got us to the Finals in 2000 where we played the Lakers in 6 tough games. We also went to 6 Eastern Conference Finals with him leading the way = 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999, 2000Finals, 2004. He is also in the NBA Hall of Fame. 3. Bobby Knight - Was Head Coach of the IU Hoosiers from 1972-2000 seasons. He won 3 National Championships = 1976, 1981, and 1987. The 1976 team went undefeated at 32-0. He also went to another Final 4 in 1992. 4. Larry Bird - Had a bigger impact on the Boston Celtics as an NBA player but here in Indiana, he led Indiana St to the Final game of the NCAA Tournament in 1979 and he was born here in Indiana. He was also a great Head Coach for the Pacers from 1998-2000. Getting the Pacers to the Finals in 2000. Lets say Caitlan Clark wins 3 or 4 WNBA Championships here in Indianapolis, she will be knocking on this door!
  8. Pacers have a team again. I like our chances of going deep this year. Problem with the Pacers is, every time we get contending teams, key players want to leave for greener pastures. We are too cheap to pay our great players. At least with the WNBA, I don't have to worry about that with Clark (money is no issue) + she is a Midwest girl, played in Iowa.
  9. Yeah, I remember she used a smaller ball because Kenny Smith brought it up. Clark would not though IMO. Would Clark beat Steph on Steph's best day, no, but I believe Clark could finish in the top 5 in a 3-point contest on most days.
  10. Steph beat Lonescu but she used a smaller ball. WNBA size. Clark would use an NBA ball IMO to prove a point.
  11. That is with no make up either. She is lean, in good shape and an average face at worse. Long dark hair is nice too.
  12. That was a different woman, she has a funny last name, can't remember it right of hand. I was thinking Steph might be the only one that beat Clark in a 3point shootout.
  13. Regarding Clark, she wouldn't make an NBA roster but it would be interesting to see her in a 3point contest against the best men with a man's ball and regulation NBA 3s. She would do pretty well in that IMO. Her range is 25 feet easily. She would have to practice with the regulation NBA ball for a while, but shooters are shooters, she would do ok in something like that.
  14. I did too, that made my whole year. She is probably the only person that could make someone root against the US team
  15. Unfortunately, I agree, great women Soccer players feel like they should be paid more too but you can only be paid so much based on your audience watching = Fact. If the same amount of people went to games and watched the WNBA like they do the NBA, Clark would be making millions. There is nothing women's leagues can do about it because they don't have the audience to increase their salaries = Fact. It has nothing do with discrimination. Money is money. I think most WNBA players know this and so do most Soccer players. That Megan Rapone who plays women's Soccer player makes me want to puke. I can't stand her. She puts down the US all the time, I would like to see her live in any other country and get the chances and make the money she has had here. Back to Clark, I am sure Clark is extremely happy with that salary playing a kid's game. She loves the US as well and would never kneel for the flag either. With her sponsors she will be a millionaire anyway and loved here in Indianapolis.
  16. @NewColtsFan, I went back and looked at every single Thread I have created, there is way you can do that. I have 35 lifetime which isn't much. I created a thread on Feb 7th in 2022 - Titled Andrew Luck, pleading for Andrew Luck to comeback that was because after the way we finished in the 2021 season. The whole thread was jokes thrown out at me and others which I didn't mind because I knew he wasn't coming back at that point. In that thread I never said he was coming back though. When I posted 'what you remember, which I did post about the source even' that I heard Andrew Luck might comeback was before we signed Wentz = 2021 off season on a thread created by someone else. I never actually created a thread that said Luck was coming back.
  17. I thought I made that post before Wentz signed in 2021, but because we signed Wentz to a long deal at the time, I gave up. The one you are talking about now that I made. I remember posting what you just said. Maybe I am mistaken, it could have been before the 2022 season because we did release Wentz. Time flies by. If I had your memory, I would be the president of the United States
  18. I will have re-do my main pairings in the West, Lakers won so they now face the Nuggets. The other 3 picking here at work had the Lakers losing too lol. Then winning to get the 8th.
  19. Cubs win over the Diamondbacks 3-2, Brewers lost again. NL standings through April 15th: 1. Brewers 10-5 2. Pirates 11-6 3. Cubs 10-6 4. Reds 9-7 5. Cards 8-9 Cubs are a half game out 1st now. After tomorrow, they may be in 1st. That didn't take long.
  20. Her game is like Steph Curry's and she has a great personality as well. Not sure why people don't think she is good looking either. She isn't a 10 obviously but far from ugly. She looks good when she dresses up and wears makeup. I would say a 7 but I am not picky. Basketball wise, the Fever are going to be huge now in Indianapolis. Great day for Indianapolis!
