  1. I shockingly fit perfectly in my mom's wedding dress she wore marrying my dad in the 70's. So I am going to wear it for my own wedding in May. Just needs a few adjustments here and there and a professional cleaning since it has been in a box wrapped up for so long preserved. But I am almost the same exact size as my mom my whole life.

Needless to say me wearing her wedding dress has my folks an emotional mess. They are loving this.

But it sure saves me a load of having to go around looking for a NEW dress and spending extra money on it that we can use for something else. Although this dress cost a fortune in the 70's for prices then so it's me going retro. It's sort of a Grace Kelly style wedding dress.

Too bad she got rid of that dress, but then again everyone is different when it comes to saving things. My mom saved everything. I mean she preserved her dress forever wrapped up in some airtight bag and a box. And her mother, my grandmother died when I was in the 4th grade sadly. But my mom saved her mom's cream wedding outfit too and still has that preserved! But no my mom is not going to wear her mom's outfit. lmao We are not going that far.

Oh this dress will be saved forever though, my mom is big on memories. Photos etc. Just everything.

Jules is getting hitched in May eh? Nice. I assume that it goes without saying that your soulmate likes cats  too right? Purr Fect...

Cool to hear that you get to save money & wear a family heirloom/dress as well. Happy for ya. :hat:

I think my brain can't handle it anymore after tonight's debate crap show. :argh:

It took Kaine until the very end to start bringing up the history of homophobia and anti-women's rights and outright bigotry of Pence and Trump, when he should've been nailing them from the very beginning, not waiting until the final 20 minutes. Ughhhhhh, I feel like this was screwed up from the get go.

I'd rather discuss Stone Hands right now than what I just witnessed. Holy crap that was bad. Kaine IMO messed this up.

The good news about the debate - it wasn't good enough to give Trump a jump in polls. Trump pretty much has killed any opportunity he's had of making this a close race, when he bashed soldiers with PTSD and mental problems. And Joe Biden slammed him for it. Kaine should've been doing that in the debates, but I do expect Hillary to bring it up in the next debate.

  5. I swear, will never forget this song as I long as I live now.

Granted, I only seen 4 episodes so far but I feel like it's been a lot to absorb. lol.

And this one is in my top group for songs too so far, best choice of song for that episode too. Seamless with the story content with so many songs on this show.

Peter Gabriel had a lot of songs on Miami Vice. 'Rhythm of the Heat' and 'Biko' were in the episode Evan. But that record right there, 'So' was a monster hit album during the show's prime. Half of that entire album is all used in season 3 - Red Rain, Sledgehammer, Do What We're Told, Mercy Street, Big Time - all those songs are in season 3 in various episodes.

Bob Dylan; the rarest exception to having a crappy voice yet writing songs that defined your decade. Put him up next to the Beatles and the Stones and above everyone else, he belongs there in praise.

  7. Going to have to cut down on internet and late night time online until around mid to late summer, wanted to let people here know. My schedule is changing lately and I have to get up earlier most days. My wedding is mid May and I have a new house with my future husband, so I am slowly moving out of my current place too. He always lived around 45 minutes from me and we found a new home halfway between where we currently have lived. And we are still looking at a few places for a honeymoon. And I am working out a lot too and stuff to look good for the wedding haha.

Just a ton to do, so sports is going to have to take a back seat momentarily. But I will still be watching sports at times in the background and occasionally logging in to check on Colts news in terms of Luck etc and how things are progressing here. So I might talk once in a while.

Just wanted to let people know, I am more than OK and not ignoring anyone but my internet activity is going to be slowed a lot for some months here.

I am having a blast. Just very very busy and it should clear up mid to late summer. I can't wait until training camp starts and we can get a new season underway!!!! I will definitely be active again eventually.

I can't wait until the wedding but the big load is moving to be honest. haha That is the most work right now.

It will be real interesting to see what the Lakers do in the Draft and Free Agency. Magic is about to pull a rabbit out his hat IMO. Something big about take place. I already like the progress that Ingram, Clarkson, and Randle are making too. Ingram had a bad game tonight but has played well most of the season. Lonzo is going to be great IMO, give him another year or 2. He already does a lot of things well.

    3. Jules

      Jules

Need to get some damn weight/muscle on Ingram. I say this every week. Last year I saw him literally "bounce off" Lebron James, for real. He bounced off Lebron like a rubber ball.

Kobe had some weird feud with his mom and dad some years back, I think you might remember it. Something about his memorabilia being taken??? And they weren't talking for years.

  10. The Heat bandwagon just got a big boost. Heat signed Kelly Olynyk to 4 years and 50 million.

Enjoy......Kelly O out and about in the club scene in Miami is going to really make things come alive there. And yes he does party. And he's huge. And stupid. And slightly psychotic.

Honestly, Kelly O outside of his unnatural fascination with Kevin Love isn't really always too bad. He did give a nice thank you note today to Boston too and said thanks for giving a guy from Canada a shot and letting him be a part of their city. I don't feel bad blood with Boston from him right now since he did become a semi cult following star in Boston.

      Yes he is from Canada.

He might do well with Miami, Riley seems to be talking him up pretty well so it sounds like you will be seeing him a lot out there. Riley likes his toughness and ability to hold his liquor. (made that part up)

He may fit well with Hassan Whiteside who some claim is dirty too. Heat really are looking like a solid rough defensive group again.......

I read that the Cavs tried to trade Kevin Love in a 3 team trade to Denver.

Well the Celtics "maybe" tried to move Crowder before they did Bradley to free up cap space. Crowder is on a pretty good deal though and a tough defender with size, kinda glad he stayed. It only would have happened with a sign and trade with Utah but I am guessing Gordon Hayward said "Hell to the no" with giving Utah anything the way it sounds. Since the deal only happened if Hayward agreed to sign off to it.

But IT said "everything will be okay" with Crowder/Hayward since Crowder now is behind Hayward in the depth chart.

Since IT is now apparently the spokesperson of the team with "everything will be FINE, we going to the finals man." lmao Yes IT said this, he said "everything will be fine and we are probably heading to the finals". lmao And last year he spoke to the crowd in Boston before the final regular season game and said "We got a big big playoff run coming."

But it's different since with Kevin Love, they pretty much spit on him daily in Cleveland and TP his house nightly. So it's a lot worse........Kevin Love gets the Otto Warmbier treatment by Cavs fans. With the Cavs fans being the DPRK.

Being a Cubs fan, (which I have been since 1984 as long as I have been a Colts fan actually) I am so happy they pulled it off. To be honest at this point I really don't even care how the Football season ends now because I pretty much know that the Colts aren't a SB contender, probably wont even make the Playoffs at 3-5. After the Cubs winning it, whatever happens in Football and Basketball I am ok with it + Peyton got his 2nd Ring last season as well. Colts have the Ring in 2006, Cubs have it now so I am good. Regarding Basketball, if LeBron wins it again more power to him as he is the best player in the league which I never have disputed. Just not sure where I would rank him all-time = he definitely is Top 10 but not so sure he is Top 5? but it's all opinion and preference when it comes to stuff like that. I know the Pacers probably wont beat the Cavs in the Playoffs so it is what it is. I am not a Warriors fan at all either, they are just a pick I made to win it all.

  19. If anyone cares about figure skating....the ladies world championship finals/long program is tomorrow night in Boston . A break from basketball too. After the short program yesterday the long program really comes down to Americans vs. Russians. New Englands own Gracie Gold is currently in first place, after her in second and third are two Russian girls. In 4th is another American and in 5th is another Russian.

An American female has not won the world figure skating championship since 2006. So maybe if Gracie does indeed win this weekend then it's a good sign for the Colts as well lol.

I think the American will win this year and she should hold onto first. She's a pretty girl too and has had some makeup endorsements.

      tumblr_n1i8x8Nogw1tq9x4fo2_1280.jpg

If she becomes world champion this weekend it could help spark a revival in skating again like back in the old days when we had Kristi Yamaguchi everywhere. But, it's tougher these days......

She can also win as long as she don't fall on her butt since it's in America and the home crowd will be nice.

The Russians on this girls tails though.....eek watch out. Russians pull out a lot of tricks in long programs to get all fancy. It won't be easy......so don't take my word. I am still learning the new scoring since I stopped skating competitively several years ago.

If this girl don't win from America it's a darn shame since it's in Boston and she is from around there I think.

    3. Jules

This Russian woman is in second place and could win too, she's a beast.

This one worries me the most......she is the current European Champion and is so little, tiny and wicked lol. Fierce skater.

      medvedeva-SKATING.jpg

The American girl currently in 4th has no real shot IMO. I highly doubt it.

    4. Jules

      Jules

^^^I was right. That girl up above in blue won it all. So yes a Russian won it all. lmao

The American Gracie Gold choked and fell on her opening jump combination. Sigh. Poor girl. But, the two Russians ahead of her NAILED it.

That girl in blue might be the best female skater I ever seen in my life and I can say she deserves to be world champ. I am still having chills over this girl.

The other American I said had no shot rose up and won the silver. The girl who was in first fell to 4th.

So in the end a Russian took the gold and bronze and an American silver.

This death thing is getting absolutely ridiculous for 2016.

Yes Jules, 2016 has dealt a heavy blow to several memorable singers/performers. It's alarming to see so many artists perish--Glenn Frey, Prince, Bowie, & now Micheal George.

If there is a lesson here, parents don't give your kids dual first names or become a legend under just 1 iconic name I guess.

      lmao I love that part.

I gotta thank Bogie though for getting me a hold of this album almost a week ago. I can't stop listening to it! It's groovy man.

Damn, I figured I was the resident Zappa nut. You gotta get Absolutely Free and enjoy the monstrosity that is known as "Brown Shoes Don't Make it" Honestly though any FZ up till about 81' is tremendous.

I think you are the only two here who love him as far as I know lol. But, I might be joining in soon. Got a lot to learn, I will check all that out that you mentioned.

Live and Let Die reminds me of Jane Seymour reading tarot cards in the Bond movie :)

Does this mean that Jules just got a promotion? Congrats I guess...I really don't understand this Status Update or it clearly went over my head. That's okay, that happens a lot to SW1 these days. :)

  23. Gordon Hayward, my heart almost literally broke seeing that happen. I waited so long for him and Brad Stevens to unite. And in the first quarter of his Celtics career he goes down with a horrible gruesome injury. Just.......I am shocked.

Like how is this even possible? Why?

    Sigh........

Get well Gordon and heal up. Sadly this happened to one of the good guys too.

I never seen an entire arena so in shock either with both teams and fans.

What a shame and that was an ugly injury.  He is most likely gone for the year and hopefully returns to pre-injury form.

Celtics start 0-2 but against two tough opponents and after an emotional injury disaster. What is kinda sad and bizarre, is in two games Jaylen Brown honestly looks like the best Celtics player all around. Kyrie was a mess tonight.

Boston can't go too far this year IMO if they have to just rely overly on Brown and Tatum, they are far too young and raw.

Although I try not to be the sort of person who over reacts. I mean even the Warriors lost their opener lol But we all know the Warriors will be awesome when they kick in some point this season as usual.

Actor Kelsey Grammer portrayed the Mayor Of Chicago on a cable TV show called "The Boss" too, but I will always remember him as Dr. Fraiser Crane on NBC's "Cheers" & his hugely successful spinoff show.

And of course who can forget "Boss Hog" on the "Dukes Of Hazard" TV show as well.

Good question Peytonator! I was wondering the exact same thing. Care to elaborate on this status update Jules?

Look it up! December 21st, the beginning of Aquarius.

Lets also hope nothing dramatic happens. I mean bad, someone might do something dumb out there. They often do.

Aquarius brings good things as far as the zodiac for birthdays which is Jan 21 to Feb 18, however, maybe the water carrier could carry some snow my way (which some people don't view as good like I do)
