  1. If you get Chase frustrated he can sometimes disappear for entire quarters.
  2. Or… or… Offensive coordinators are getting better at figuring out how to play to their QB’s strengths and reduce the limitations of weaknesses. Pretty much every QB who makes it into the NFL has talent, but we’re seeing a shift from teams being “coach centric” to becoming “player centric”. My way or the highway coaches are fading away, or being outright fired in the cases of McDaniels and Reich. We are built for those types of games. We’re bruisers now, instead of finesse.
  3. Here are my thoughts as a Bengals fan (I'm always Colts first don't worry): The Bengals are a very hot and cold team. When they're red-hot they can beat anyone including the 49ers. When they're cold they can lose to anyone including the Titans and Steelers. They're better and worse than their record shows in that regard. We'll see how they respond on a short week after upsetting Jacksonville. Our team is currently in the top 5 for sacks, so if we keep that trend up at crucial times we can win.
  4. It takes a very long time for a GM to hit their stride and learn from their mistakes, even the hall of famers.
  5. It's sad but I have to agree. You'd think after a 4 game winning streak and at least being competitive in the playoff race would amount to some type of positive thoughts? Instead it's like a funeral over there... and we haven't played a snap against the Bengals yet! I might just have to put some of the vomit posters on ignore... the ones who repeatedly spam the same negative opinion over and over again. I wonder if they're like that in real life or if it's just on here lol...
  6. I would think the team has earned enough respect from it's own fans to say we always have a chance... The Bengals are a fantastic overall team with the best WR trio in the business. Browning was stellar for sure, but I know better than to say "the Bengals are going to the playoffs!" I don't get why some talk themselves into being so upset all time when it comes to this team. Mental illness perhaps?
  7. Agreed. Even in being at the bottom this year, I'm still enjoying this week by week. It's a nice break from all the doomers... Who apparently are already writing off this coming weekend as a loss against the Bengals...
  8. Why would fans need to be concerned? Did I miss a letter from Ballard or something? Are we playing Sunday? Gotta trust in the process and believe. I don’t see Steichen overlooking the Bengals. As a Bengals fan, I’ve seen this team do this stuff before. They get very hot and then very cold. They are a week to week kind of team. Last week for example they lost 16-10 against the Steelers. Could we lose? Absolutely. It’s any given Sunday. And when you’ve got back up QBs all over the place across the league, all bets are off. But I think the Colts will do enough to win.
  9. Fans don’t influence the game. Trust in the team and believe. Steichen is not overlooking the Bengals, he’s a very serious competitor. A great win for Cincy, but it feels a bit tempered seeing Lawrence go down. I called the Bengals winning but I didn’t see Trevor getting added to the list of body counts this year…
  10. Yep. What happened was clearly not the original design. Everyone looked confused on what he was doing.
  11. Odd decisions by Taylor, but with Burrow out they’ve got to do unconventional things. Calling a play like that, you’ve got a lot of confidence in the players… unfortunately the execution was very bad.
  12. This is a Bengals team that beat the 49ers. Feels like the Jags overlooked them.
  13. As of this season, he’s our #1. He made pivotal play after play when his number was called. I want him back next season.
  14. Thats why I’m hoping for a 0-0 tie. It would be hilarious for the title of “worst game ever played in professional football” to be associated with the two franchises I loathe the most.
  15. It would be kind of fun in a complete chaos way to change that rule and make them live lol...
  16. That's what good coaching does. You analyze, determine the weakness and then you attack that weakness.
  17. What a crazy stat. We've got some dawgs on that line for sure. Probably also says a lot about the offenses we've faced in this bread and butter portion of the season: lot's of bad QBs who hold onto the ball for way too long (Young, Jones) and bad offensive lines too. But, it's the NFL and we should be expecting to feast on these situations, and feast we have. I'll give Gus some credit (gasp!) for this.
  18. Don't forget it's all Shane's fault for anything that goes wrong during the game... /Sarcasm
  19. When it comes to the Colts, we can never, ever overlook the Steelers... Still ticks me off that we lost to them in 2019... Against Mason Rudolph of all people... Thanks for nothing Brian Hoyer!!!
  20. It's also how we are getting those points that's impressive to me. It's not just the offense. The defense can score when needed, and as we saw the special teams unit still among the best in the league. Shane has the Colts playing as one cohesive unit.
  21. I think the Chargers would be the #1 destination for any offensive minded coach. That team is built to win now and has all the pieces to do it. Living in LA, check. Working with one of the bright young QBs in the league? Check. Defense is already set up as well. I think the Chargers will stay away from Bill and make sure to pair Justin with something who will work offensively for years to come like Mahomes and Reid. On the opposite end, the Panthers have got to be the least desired destination in the league to coach. Meddling owner... no first round pick... an emotionally rattled Bryce Young... Tepper is going to have to show those men the money... again... LOL..
  22. Awesome perspective. Good to see Richardson celebrating with the team as well!
  23. The team doesn't give up. And we make impactful, game changing plays when it's needed and called upon.
