That probably goes into the thinking that it may have helped him to get some game action, albeit in preseason. While that experience won't determine if he succeeds or fails, it may add to his learning. It seems that the coaching staff had their reasons for not playing the starters, including Richardson.

The next Colts preseason game is Thursday at 8pm ET. the opponent will be the Eagles. The game will be shown locally. For those outside of the Indy or Philly area, the game will be shown at 11:00PM on NFL Network.

He threw the most beautiful passes but something did not click. He once fumbled and walked away while his teammates tried to recover the ball. I shook my head in disgust.)

After a preseason game last week against the Bills, they had joint practices with the Bears and named Anthony Richardson their starting QB for the season. It is still unclear when Jonathan Taylor will play. Until then, they will run Deon Jackson, Evan Hull, Kenyan Drake and Jake Funk. Tonight the Colts and the Bears play an important preseason game. Just turning the games on now. I have Bengals @ Falcons showing on NFL Network and Panthers and Giants on local TV. Atlanta just scored, a drive engineered by QB Taylor Heinicke. Falcons lead 10-6. Giants lead the Panthers 21 to 12 with 7 minutes left in the game.

I would love to see the Lions in the Super Bowl but then the Vikings will be the only NFC team never to have made the Super Bowl during my NFL fandom. Every NFL team has been to the Super Bowl since 1990 except the Vikings and Lions. I will post my picks later. I like the Jets pick for the NFC East. Are they better than the Bills? It should be an exciting season with so many teams starting new QBs. I am looking forward to it. Let the NFL Games begin!!
