  1. I wrote you can't have JJ or Addison. Maybe Addison for JT and Downs.
  2. @w87r You asked what the Vikings would give up in a trade for JT. I don't like trading for other teams' star players. I like to draft players and re-sign them... What about this? Jonathan Taylor for starting RB Alexander Mattison and a 2024 3rd rounder.
  3. I don't like anything from Florio. He creates stories to rile up fans. Some might say he creates clickbait.
  4. No, I was thinking more that Howie Roseman does not give players of value away by just cutting them. If Williams had something left, Roseman would have tried to get something (7th rounder maybe) for him.
  5. That is not always the case. There are some who only focus on the negative (or only on the positive) and do not always back up their opinions with sound reasoning. Also, when all one writes about is grievances and complaints (negative), then I tend not to take their opinions as seriously. It is similar to the idea of "Crying Wolf". Eventually, I tune out the negativity from those who are always negative. The same is true for those who are always positive. When someone is neither all positive or all negative, I am more inclined to take their viewpoints seriously.
  6. If the Eagles cut him, he must not have anything left.
  7. No one said not that playing Richardson is "going to make or break anything". My thought exactly. I am surprised by the degree to which it is dismissed. You pose a good question: why have preseason games if it is not a warm-up for the regular season? Why play only players who most likely will not make the team. I may be in favor of scrapping the postseason and playing an 18-game season. This was discussed on the Vikings site, as the Vikings sat almost all starters, if not all, in this last game.
  8. Stampede Blue intimated that he will not play. The wording was not clear but the writer said that Richardson will wait to make his next start on Sept. 10th. ARTICLE
  9. No more than a half. But it seems like he will not play. Thanks. I just read that too.
  10. It is different for all teams. We have to assume the coaches are making the best decisions for their respective teams..
  11. I believe Mahomes played in Games 1 and 2. He played more than I expected. Every team is different.
  12. I think he should, but who am I to say.?! I'm not the head coach. I don't think Cousins has played at all this preseason. I hope he plays in this third game.
  13. It seems like some teams will be playing their starters in game 3. I saw on television that the Jets plan to start Aaron Rodgers in the third/last game. I wonder if Richardson will start. Would fans like him to start or sit it out?
  14. Sounds like something Alan Iverson once said.
  15. I agree. It is the way that the poster is told about being wrong that I believe can be different. (I know you know that but some may not.) For example, one fan took words out of context to demean the poster, saying the poster had "no idea" and then put other words in capital. I thought the words in capital and the comment about "no idea" were not necessary. People need not take everything as a personal affront when someone criticizes a move that they agree with. The poster thinks Richardson should have played. It is good to read thoughts and opinions about why the decision not to play may have been made without putting down the person with a different opinion. It is an exchange of viewpoints. Last year I recall so many people bashing a poster who said he wished he had Dan Campbell instead of Frank Reich as head coach. Most of the board blasted him for that post. But by mid-season, those same fans who blasted him wanted to get rid of Reich.
  16. Thank you. I like discussion and appreciate different thoughts/points of view.
  17. Do you think there is no value in a player playing in a preseason game? That is the impression I am getting from many of the posts. That is a good post. It helps some to better understand why the coaching staff made the decision that they did.
