  1. I have been a HUGE fan of Taylor from day one of his being drafted. Was going to buy a JT jersey to wear proudly for his 2023 bounce back year. Not now, though. This contract whining crap and now his agent’s low life behaviour has GREATLY sullied my enthusiasm and now it’s costing merchandising revenue to all involved. Bad for business all around, except for me, saves me some coin.
  2. I think you expressed it correctly. The fact that some of it was PRE-paid as a signing bonus does not alter the expressed pay for the 4th year. The PRE payment always seems to create a problem with too many players, for they too often conveniently forget that a portion of year X salary was prepaid to them, then they (or their agent) whine about their lack of pay down the road.
  3. The comment that the market is what it is, this is a reality RBs have to come to terms with. We / they basically know what the numbers are if franchise tagged, so prudence would seem to dictate that if you can get a 3-4 year deal with guaranteed money and a big signing bonus in the equation, at the franchise tag numbers (average of top 5 positional salaries?), then to me it would be foolhardy to NOT jump at such an offer, for it offers security beyond 1 year franchise tags. If I were owner, I’d make a very nice offer to JT, with a preference for a 4 year term, 2 year franchise tag money guaranteed, and plenty of incentives so that if he indeed puts up elite numbers over the course of the 4 year term, his earn in years 3 & 4 is an amount that fairly pays him for such results. Simple. lol
  4. Call me old school, but honestly, I HATE the alt uniforms. I love the Colts regular uniforms, always have, and I just really dislike the whole concept of alt uniforms. To me it’s just a big, revolting money grab and I think they’re ugly compared to the regular uniforms. Puke
  5. In what world is getting $10M+ = to not getting paid? I mean, if one is worried about positional relativity, there is that, but seriously, 10, 11, 12, 13 million vs 17, 18, 19M? Boohoo. Ignoring QB, Across the 3 skill offensive positions (rb, te, we) the average tag value is roughly 13M. So, get into ball park offers with security of several years and guaranteed money, and all should be good.
  6. Jim Parker has to be on the list. Gil Brandt’s number 1 all-time ot. https://www.nfl.com/photos/gil-brandt-s-greatest-nfl-tackles-of-all-time-0ap3000000816586
  7. If including old timers, interesting that Gale Sayers is not on the list, granted that his prowess ultimately was undone by injuries. And speaking of RBs who were undone by injury, Billy Sims was also a GREAT RB and it’s such a shame his career ended as a result of a devastating knee injury.
  8. WRs, followed by CBs. I really still fear for a lack of potency in the passing game. Going to be crucially important for Alex Pierce to make a HUGE jump in year two and for the rook, Josh Downs, to be the impactful playmaker that a Parris Campbell was supposed to be, but never was. I am quite high on the Colts TE grouping, though, so hopefully they can also emerge as viable threats in the passing game.
  9. Ah, so you’re partial to the 70s. My first real band affair was with Pink Floyd, who remains amongst my favs, despite Roger Waters apparent decline into lunacy. lol Cheers!
  10. The rise of New Wave Alt music and punk music. 80s were superb! 90s grunge and pop punk, were also terrific! So says this old punk, only 2 months away from turning … 60!
  11. Less than the price for one game live, generally speaking! Further to my authorized streamer in Canada, DZN, it works with a VPN when I am out of country (ie. my place in Mexico).
  12. I’m in Canada and for years now I have subscribed to DAZN online streaming, whom is an authorized provider of “NFL Sunday Ticket” c/w redzone in Canada. Price is $199.99 $CAD, which is a bargain compared to what the cable companies charge. Being streaming, it can at times be glitchy, but we’ll worth it given the price.
  13. HATE the Thursday flex. Now I cannot ever pre-arrange late season football excursions. HORRIBLE change that’s so inconsiderate of traveling fans!
  14. Adam Rank at NFL.com predicts 3-14 for the Colts. I think they will do better than that.
  15. I ABSOLUTELY put Marino ahead of Elway!
  16. I really liked Emmitt Smith, but Walter Payton was better and so was Barry Sanders, whom was imho the best RB I ever laid eyes upon. For me, the top QBs I watched were Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Bert Jones, Johnny Unitas (just fleeting memory), and Tom Brady. Oh, I might now put Mahomes on this list, if he can bring longevity. Different position, but I’d put Reggie White ahead of Ray Lewis 7 days a week. Also notice, similarly, Elway makes neither mine nor your list.
  17. Johnny Unitas, another Colt, left off the list of all-timers. I EXPECT the Colts owner to be biased, so the fact that Irsay puts two QBs ahead of both Manning and Unitas, I find it troubling. I mean, whatever, just Irsay’s opinion, but wow, talk about riling up your fan base. Big thumbs down, Irsay.
  18. Best move, standing pat with the 4th overall pick!
  19. I didn’t comment on how likely it may or may not be, just that factually, if things go well, the Colts can have the inside track to winning the division, after their first six games. Alternatively, they might be well on their way to another very high draft choice.
  20. Conversely, we’ll know after those first 6 weeks if the Colts are contenders or destined for another premium first round pick. To flounder out of the gate in the first 6 weeks will sink the team’s season because of the divisional games implications.
  21. By week 6, Colts could have a stranglehold on the division by winning … wk 1. vs Jaguars, wk 2, vs Texans wk 5, vs Titans & wk 6 vs Jaguars. throw in wk. 4 vs Rams, colts could potentially be 4-2 & strongly in control of the wild wild AFC south, only 6 games in. . Hi
