ESPN’s rankings are much more realistic, not just the author’s wishful thinking.

Sadly, on Sunday I’ll be driving on a road trip from Winnipeg to Minneapolis, so I won’t be able to watch the Colts victory over the Rams, live as it happens. I will be listening on Sirius XM, though.

The remaining division games are the key. With 4 of those games remaining, gotta win at least 3 out of 4 with one of those 3 wins being over the Jaguars, to be in position to win the division. Simply put, imho, if the Colts don’t take 3 of 4, they will not win the division and will miss the playoffs. If the Colts are really to be contenders this year, I think they really do have to win their next two games as well, starting with a home victory over the Rams next week.

Hmmm, people seem disappointed that prospective trade partners seem not to be in need of a running back, anymore. Me, I kind of like it! Best case scenario in my mind is that JT and his agent realize there is virtually no realistic trade market options for JT, concluding that the RB market indeed ‘is what it is’, so JT can come back to the Colts, attitude adjusted, ball out for the remainder of the season, realize the Colts are building something special, and then reap the rewards of a decent 3-4 year contract moving forward after the season.

Reminded me of the Manning years, when you just couldn’t count the Colts out of a game, no matter how unlikely it seemed like a win might be. Exciting!
