  1. Wanting Brown is one thing. Getting him is another. It doesn’t matter how much the Colts want him if the Eagles aren’t willing to trade him. I don’t see any reason they will be.
  2. Then they should have voted against the CBA if they were really concerned about it.
  3. 1. Can they? Yes absolutely they are his boss. Will they? Probably not, I know it’s not what fans want to hear they like the way he runs their system. 2. Probably not. They have good linebacker coaches as is. There is also nothing to show Leonard wants to or would be a good coach. 3. Is there? Yes. I am also sure the Colts are working with him to protect himself. Still with his style you can only do so much.
  4. Ding ding you figured you it out!
  5. And to support your point the Colts didn’t become one of those teams until they got Dungy. Before that were regressing under Polian and Manning having gone from 13-3 to 10-6 to 6-10. It wasn’t until they got Dungy that they became a team that roles out of bed and wins 12 games every year.
  6. There isn’t one. It’s all opinion based which is why I said a while back call Pittman what you want he’s going to get paid by someone.
  7. I am not sure I’d bet on that. Raimann was grading out very well the back half of the season once Saturday took over. We never saw that with Freeland this year. Also, with Smith having a whole off-season to get healthy, Freeland go back to being a backup. When you don’t like Ballard and don’t want to give him credit for anything.
  8. I think this is a case where you can use stats to tell you what you want to hear. Personally I would say the sacks are great and shouldn’t be dismissed but they need to do a better job consistently getting to the QB and getting to the QB in key moments. This group did a good job of pretty much just being a bunch of guys in terms of rushing the passer. They could 100% use that superstar like Freeney or Mathis was but other than QB that’s probably the hardest thing to find in football. That’s why if Ballard likes one of the pass rushers in this draft and they are there around 15 I think he will make sure he gets him. It doesn’t matter if it’s weak class for them if your guy hits.
  9. Oh man it’s so easy I wonder why Ballard never thought to get a great receiver in the draft!? I mean it couldn’t be that Chase was the top WR in his draft class and a top five pick and the only two times Ballard has had picks that high he traded back and took Nelson and a guy they hope will be their next franchise QB in Richardson… Also the Colts have developed Pittman and Downs. Some feel Pierce’s problem has been the QB position and towards the end of the year Matt Ryan and Troy Aikman backed that theory up. i am fine with adding another WR but it’s not because Ballard hasn’t thought to add a really good WR and the team has shown with Pittman and Downs they can develop WRs.
  10. It’s almost like he likes to make things up so he can celebrate people he doesn’t like failing to meet those expectations…. Almost like he has an agenda he’s really pushing…
  11. Dodds has been really good. It’s going to be hard to be “better”. Dodds had a lot to do with Richardson and Taylor being here.
  12. Someone once told me take all the interviews you can get just to get the experience interviewing. Maybe Dodds has decided to take that approach this year.
  13. Coaches don’t just change what they believe in and their system they have spent their life developing. If you want that changed you change the coach. The Colts elected not to do that. So all we can hope is Ballard is right about it being young players like he was right about the line last year and not making changes despite a lot of fans wanting them. As for Ballard he said in press conference he knows both the offense and defense needs more explosive players. The thing is every team in the league is looking for the samething and when they find them they normally don’t let them get to free agency. If one does and Ballard thinks they will help the Colts you can bet he will make a push for them, the key is Ballard thinking it helps them though, not what fans want. We don’t get a vote. Regarding him being on the hot seat he’s not. Irsay more or less cast judgement on him last year when he didn’t fire him and let him hire a new coach and draft a new QB. Like it or not Irsay pretty much reset the clock on Ballard. Then Irsay said before the year he wanted to see progress this year and there is no denying this team made progress this year compared to last year. So Ballard is most likely in good graces with Irsay which Colts fans who want Ballard gone don’t like accepting.
  14. Pulling for a Lions vs Bills Super Bowl
  15. Sorgi was a legit backup. Sam maybe. Painter and Eason were bums.
  16. I guess I am looking at it from a Colts fan perspective where they have drafted Sorgi, Painter, Eason, and Sam outside of round one and at best they have developed into backups, which is fine that’s what they were supposed to be.
  17. Other than Jackson those weren’t first round picks. That’s getting lucky to certain extent. None of those guys, again aside from Jackson, were drafted to be starters. They were drafted to be backups and they found they could play. You don’t normally see that with QBs taken outside of the first round drafted to be backups. The Colts sure didn’t see it with any of the backup QBs they have taken over the years.
  18. Yeah but this year they played the NFC South the worst division in football.
  19. I hope they keep Minshew but I wouldn’t be shocked if they go with Sam. They have been grooming him to be the backup and next year is the last year of his contract.
  20. Not sure because it will probably be like a rookie year for Richardson and people will adjust to Richardson at some point and it will be a harder schedule but I am excited to find out.
  21. Exactly in order to get Stroud they would have had to go up to number one and either pay what Carolina paid or paid even more to trade with Carolina and I don’t really buy Carolina was willing to trade back unless someone just gave them an insane offer. So getting Stroud wasn’t a real option. Instead they gave up nothing got the guy they liked best and who looked like the second best of these QBs in limited action this year and the only one who might be able to give Stroud a run for his money.
  22. There is a travel ban there wasn’t in 2017. People’s safety is more important than a football game.
  23. That’s been my point all along Pittman isn’t a hall of fame level WR like Harrison or Wayne was which is what some Colts fans think it takes to be a number one WR. Top 15 is a number one WR so you keep him. Still keeping Pittman doesn’t stop you from trying to improve the WR room. The Colts had Harrison when they drafted Wayne as an example. They wanted to make the room better. Ballard and can do that and keep Pittman too.
