  1. I guess I am looking at it from a Colts fan perspective where they have drafted Sorgi, Painter, Eason, and Sam outside of round one and at best they have developed into backups, which is fine that’s what they were supposed to be.
  2. Other than Jackson those weren’t first round picks. That’s getting lucky to certain extent. None of those guys, again aside from Jackson, were drafted to be starters. They were drafted to be backups and they found they could play. You don’t normally see that with QBs taken outside of the first round drafted to be backups. The Colts sure didn’t see it with any of the backup QBs they have taken over the years.
  3. Yeah but this year they played the NFC South the worst division in football.
  4. I hope they keep Minshew but I wouldn’t be shocked if they go with Sam. They have been grooming him to be the backup and next year is the last year of his contract.
  5. Not sure because it will probably be like a rookie year for Richardson and people will adjust to Richardson at some point and it will be a harder schedule but I am excited to find out.
  6. Exactly in order to get Stroud they would have had to go up to number one and either pay what Carolina paid or paid even more to trade with Carolina and I don’t really buy Carolina was willing to trade back unless someone just gave them an insane offer. So getting Stroud wasn’t a real option. Instead they gave up nothing got the guy they liked best and who looked like the second best of these QBs in limited action this year and the only one who might be able to give Stroud a run for his money.
  7. There is a travel ban there wasn’t in 2017. People’s safety is more important than a football game.
  8. That’s been my point all along Pittman isn’t a hall of fame level WR like Harrison or Wayne was which is what some Colts fans think it takes to be a number one WR. Top 15 is a number one WR so you keep him. Still keeping Pittman doesn’t stop you from trying to improve the WR room. The Colts had Harrison when they drafted Wayne as an example. They wanted to make the room better. Ballard and can do that and keep Pittman too.
  9. The overwhelming majority of the thread are people proclaiming why Shane was right.
  10. Minshew is a high end backup. Also for comparison sake the Colts had Foles last year. Which QB looked better?
  11. I am not going to have a drawn out back and forth with you but do you realize how arrogant it is to tell other how you should come across to others? You, me, and no one else gets to tell others how they come across to others. I told you how you came across to me, like I said I am willing to bet you don’t mean to come across that way but you do at least to me. Sorry you don’t like it. You tell people it’s okay not to have the last word yet you constantly seek to have it and you like to be little anyone you dares to see the world differently than you in the past week you’ve done it with me, 2006, and now goatface. We all get it Superman you are smart, no one is going to argue that with you. However, you aren't the only smart person here. Smart people can see the same thing different ways without one of them not knowing what they are talking about. I am trying to be better at accepting that. I am from perfect I freely admit that but I think this place would be a lot better if we ALL remembered that. I am sure you won’t like that and that’s fine it’s just my opinion, and yes I am entitled to it. Again as far as Richard goes I had the same thought as he did without reading your back and forth with goat face. Then I saw your response and thought it was a little over the top. If you disagree so be it. with that said have a nice night Superman. I still think you are smart and respect your opinions even if I don’t agree with you all the time.
  12. Weren’t you the same person a week ago telling me I was on the record and didn’t need to keep discussing something when I was discussing something I wanted to discuss? discuss what you want Superman but sometimes you come across as telling people who disagree with you to let things go. Maybe you don’t mean too but that’s the vibe you give off sometimes at least to me. As for Richard all he did was give his personal opinion about discussing Bradley since he’s coming back. He didn’t quote anyone and didn’t tell you guys to stop.
  13. He was drafted by Ballard there for he can’t be good. It doesn’t support Moose’s agenda.
  14. But I was told here Colts fans suck and don’t make enough noise…
  15. I see Rick Venturi as more of a reminder of how much more anyone who coached in football knows than fans do no matter how smart the fan is than I do some great and wise football mind. Also normally when I title of insert name here tells the truth my first thought is that really means insert name here said what that person wanted to be said. Still I’ve made it clear I think the Colts should have moved on from Gus so I guess in these two cases I agree Venturi spoke the truth. The only two excuses you can give Gus is how young the secondary is and that he doesn’t have an elite pass rusher. I can’t speak to how an elite pass rusher would change Gus’s defense except to say it would help. However when it comes to the secondary I have no faith in Gus to change even if he didn’t have a young secondary because we saw the exact same defense the year before when he had a more experienced secondary.
  16. yeah no one is safe. I am sure Ballard is shopping Richardson as we speak… that’s classic GM speak. Certain people are safe and they are the core of their team and Kelly is a part of that.
  17. Irsays asked for privacy so I am sure Ballard is under a bit of a gag order to talk about it so he pretty much just wanted to get off that subject.
  18. Uh what? Did you watch him play this year? Kelly had a fantastic season and his PFF grade backs it up.
  19. I don’t think it’s that controversial of a statement to make to say you think the QB you took number four overall can give you more explosive plays than the backup QB who is a journeyman QB with limitations making him a backup regardless of sample size,
  20. Part of this is he doesn’t know for sure what’s going to an available on the open market either. It does him no good to say man I’d really like to add a big time free agent WR if no big time free agent WRs end up available. What he pretty much said there is he has the flexibility to go get someone if he likes them (and that could be at any position). Flexibility also means he’s not going to force it if it’s not there just because they can. I am sure there will be players available the Colts like so I do expect signings but I still don’t expect the big eye popping contract guys to be who he targets (outside of Pittman which is on of his own). I’d expect like Samson who fans don’t think much of at the time but end up being really good players. When you look at Ballard’s free agent signings he’s been exceptional at finding guys just about to break out.
  21. Foles didn’t play the whole season which was his point.
  22. Then don’t listen to him? You don’t have too.
  23. That’s where I am. If Paye has a monster year you could always use the franchise tag to keep him if you want. Not ideal but an option.
