Unpopular opinion,  MHJ is overrated.  I would rather have Odunze or Nabers

Nabers would be easier to get. But the Harrison Jr in Indy story just writes itself. I’m sure it would get MH and Peyton there to watch his games. Would probably force ESPN and more national coverage/games as well.

  2. I know a lot of people would be against giving up the farm, but what good is the farm if you’re not producing any crops?

Crops would be division/conference/Super Bowl wins for those who don’t get the analogy.

This list is putrid. Disappointed in CBS. So DeMeco Ryans and Houston is Cream of the Crop and we are Tier 3?? Ryans had his starting QB for most of the year, Shane didn't. We were 1 play away from beating them for the Division with Minshew at QB. Shane was the better Coach ahead of Ryans, sorry CBS. This Houston love fest is getting real old already by many in the media. Had Houston ran away with the division and won 11 or 12 games, I could buy it. But NAH, give me Shane all day. I can't wait for the season when AR comes out and matches whatever Stroud does. I think we will win the Division; I am calling it now. I have no reason to think otherwise, we had it won with Minshew at QB lmao .

Tier 3 is an insult; they can stick that in their tail pipe and smoke it.

Unfortunately that's what happens when you lose. Regardless of who is playing (unless you're any other team it seem) the Colts are ALWAYS judged and victims of this for whatever reason. We could have signed the local bum off the street to play QB, and it wouldn't be any different.

My guess is your view is the popular view.  Most everyone feels that way.

But I’m an odd duck.  Ok, a very odd duck!

I ***LOVE*** the off-season.  I love trying to guess what will happen.   Which players are kept, which are let go?  Which free agents do the Colts sign?   Who do they draft, plus what about trading down and up.   All sorts of strategy involved.

And this lasts until June.  There’s a 6 plus week break for the players, but until then, there are always things going on that are interesting to me.

Like I said, I’m wired funny!    :lecture:

I was *mostly* being sarcastic about that, but I get what you're saying and agree. I think for me, right now, I'm feeling a bit cooped up and getting cabin fever. I had my spine surgery last week, so I'm basically either in bed, doing small PT stuff at home or sleeping. Makes the days go by very, very slow. So in my head, I'm wishing the season was beginning. That would me I'm about 80% recovered, and I get to watch Richardson shut some people up finally.

Colts fans has been going crazy  with this take on social media. How about progressing and playing healthy most of the season respectfully.

I’m embracing and adding to the meme.

I would agree. I would rather trade whatever it takes to get Justin Jefferson and make it work with AR’s rookie deal than a 30 year old Diggs.

that seems to have been the theme with rookie qbs. Trade for a young top receiver and roll during the rookie qb contract. Diggs to the bills with Allen. Tyreek to the Dolphins with Tua. Jefferson to the patriots was proposed by Corwerd this week. There’s a lot of talk about the Vikings moving him instead of paying him.

I don’t see any of it happening. It’s more likely we find a receiver in the draft (whether 15 or later) and pair him with Pitt. Spend the money in other spaces. But I, like @Superman, see Ballard being more aggressive than we’ve seen. He’s set the stage for that and it may be necessary for his future as a General Manager- here or elsewhere. Will anyone be sad if a big move is made?

If anyone is sad about a big move being made is literally complaining and crying for the sake of complaining and crying. Making a big move, rather it be through the draft, or bringing in Jefferson shouldn’t upset anyone. This fan base complains how we’ve done NOTHING since Ballard arrived, yet they don’t want to make trades or sign complete difference makers or immediate impact players/upgrades, and the reasoning is always meaningless.

Complain Ballard does nothing. Complain when Ballard does something.
