  1. With the depth at receiver in this draft I don’t think I’d want to give a 2nd for him. I’d rather trade for Sneed if I had to pick one.
  2. I would prefer going CB maybe edge if one falls in first and waiting until 2-3rd for a WR because of the crazy depth this draft at WR. The guy that makes the most sense imo is Ricky Pearsall. size: 6’1 190- great complement to what we got speed: 4.4 40yd- good speed athleticism: 9.78 RAS- fits Ballard’s type senior bowl performance- fits Ballard history with AR already- flattens the learning curve. they may have their eye on a guy with more of a #1 alpha upside instead, but if they are good with adding another solid guy for a well balanced stable of receivers then I would think Pearsall checks a lot of the boxes they are looking for.
  3. Those charts are only guides. Teams give more or less all the time based on multiple variables such as draft depth and certain positions, star QBs and so on. i say let people make the trades they want to make and use what guide they would like or no guide. For instance: if I’m picking at 10 and there are 5 guys on my board with the same grade and don’t know which I’d prefer, I’d be willing to take less value than what a chart says in a trade to move back to 14. But if I’m at 10 and one guy I had ranked in the top 5 falls to me, it would take a lot more to get me to move back. This happens all the time. supply and demand my man, let the free market decide the prices. That’s fair for everyone. There’s no reason to impose a chart on people. It takes two to tango, so if they both like the music, I say let them dance.
  4. I would also vote to allow trading of future picks in trades. Obviously they wouldn’t carry over to next year but I think it would allow our trades to be more realistic and not force someone to give up half of their draft to move up a few spots in the first round.
  5. If we get to a point where we need guys to take a second team I would take Tennessee. But obviously want to wait and see if we can get filled up first.
  6. Yessir! I’ll take Washington. I had colts last year. came out with: Anthony Richardson QB Bryan Bresee DL Dawand Jones OL Tank Dell WR
  7. I’d be tickled with either one. i also wouldn’t mind Cooper DeJean.
  8. I’d love to get him for a 3rd. Some of the reports I heard expected a late first value in the deal. Maybe it’s just to push the hype.
  9. Chiefs are expected to tag and trade Sneed. Some talking heads have thrown Colts out as a potential fit with our need at CB and his athletic profile. I think a trading 15 for him would be a bit steep with the contract he will be getting. If it is something Ballard would consider I would feel better about swapping 15 and 32 and throwing in 82. thoughts? is this a move any of you guys would like?
  10. I’ve heard the same thing. But what is kind of funny about them saying that it dries up after round 4 is that the draft is almost always a shot in the dark in the later rounds anyway. I could see there being a lot of variance and guys going earlier and dropping further by quite a bit from expected. should be a fun draft.
  11. I think corner is the most likely given the expectation that the top 3 WR will be gone and probably the #1 TE. It is a position of need and could quite possibly be the BPA at 15. If there is a cluster of guys still there I would like to drop down a couple picks if possible and pick up another 3rd or 4th. if we don’t take one out of the group of to CBs, I believe it is because someone unexpected falls. Perhaps one of the top OL or DL. Out of the edge group, I could see Ballard really liking Dallas Turner as he would give us the high end athleticism that we haven’t had at DE. I think there will be good WR available in the 2-4 rounds, so I would be ok with waiting for one of those guys instead of reaching in the 1st.
  12. Yea I agree. I just hope are focus is surrounding AR with targets that can get open and make plays. there should be good WRs available into the 3rd or 4th in this draft from what I’ve heard. so I’d be ok going with CB in the first too then get WR after. I’d actually like to come away with 2 WR in this draft. We need to add enough competition so that Pierce is competing for a roster spot not penciled in as starter. Then if he steps up to the next level, all the better!
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if Ballard considers a trade for a WR1. Maybe AJ Brown if the Eagles decide to make moves after their collapse? AJ, MPJ, and Downs would be nice. otherwise I’d expect WR, CB or DL in the first and second. Then maybe some Oline, LB, and safety depth after the 2nd. I could see a trade down if Bowers, Nabers, and Odunze are all gone.
  14. If one of Nabers, Odunze, or Bowers is there at 15 I sprain my ankle from running the card in so hard. I would also be happy with: DeJean, Turner, Wiggins, Thomas or maybe one of the Bama CBs. I think 3 QBs, Marvin Jr, and two tackles will be for sure gone before our pick.
  15. WR is top I believe. Whether you call him 2 behind Pitt or 1 or 1b. We need a receiver that is more dynamic to complement Pitt’s skill set. Pierce just hasn’t shown the ability to get open within the first 30 yards. He’s fine as a 4 or 5 that can be a deep threat. I think his numbers should be better with a full season with AR but that doesn’t fix his weaknesses only helps exemplify his strength. From what I’ve heard, this draft is full of good WRs. I’d be glad to take two if ones we like are there for the taking. The more talent we can provide for AR the better. Also need depth on the lines and DB. Need a good #2RB if Moss leaves. We lost one season of AR already. We need to make sure we do all we can to set him up to succeed next year. Can’t send him into next year with this WR group and banking on our Oline being healthy.
  16. Needs to get his money back. Hasn’t played a snap.
  17. I’m glad it’s over. Not what I’d have done but I’m pumped for JT. So does this have him under contract this year and 3 years after?
  18. Did a good job discussing the good and bad. I hope our coaches address the negatives and the players step up. There are some things that can’t be fixed quickly or sometimes at all if the talent isn’t there but effort is 100% not one of those things.
