  1. I love to see Donald Brown do so well, he is like a ghost when he sneaks through the middle

He has been a pleasure to watch, said his harshest critic from the past.

Yup, I was wrong about Brown. He's having a solid year. Donald deserves props for that.

holy cow Kayla, Walking Dead this past Sunday was incredible! I love the story line, they left the graphic novel story a while ago, but I actually like the shows line better! I think Rick and Shane are due for a reckoning!!!! I was thinking how much I miss football while watching Mike & Mike yack about NBA basketball, UGH!!!!!!! YAWN! thank goodness for hockey!

    3. KaylaD

      KaylaD

Yeah I'm just waiting for them two to go at it! Shane is crazy on there ever since he shot that guy and left him behind. I couldnt believe that! The last episode before they took the break was so sad with the little girl. Definitiely one of my favorite showa though. Not like a lot of shows where you can guess what happens before it happens.

    4. KaylaD

      KaylaD

I agree all I keep haering is NBA. Kobe and Lin, bla bla bla lol. I watch basketball sometimes and do like it but its just not the same. Does not fill the void either.

  3. I really hope the Welker side line #2 bet/joke isn't true.. not sure if my opinion of the Pats org could go much lower

are they drinking on those sidelines? good grief! I thought heard the dumper guys name as Izzo? they were laughing and I wasn't paying full attention to get the name right. I remember the peeing story now that you bring it up, but never would of remembered the name, wow @shecolt, good memory!

I echo those exact same sentiments MCF. Those people in the life saving profession sometimes need to be rescued themselves. Let's all hope for no more loss of in this case.

  5. I think I spend more time on my kindle reading reviews and titles and trying to select a book than I do reading....decisions, decisions!

Perhaps, we should start a "What are you reading?" thread. I'm an avid reader and am always looking for suggestions as to what books others have enjoyed (or haven't). Right now, I am on a James Patterson kick. That guy can't write fast enough for me.

excellent idea shecolt... I like the womens murder club series by JP.. what a cutie on your avatar

    4. subvet

      subvet

I "acquired" several hundred good ebooks many of which are SciFi so I don't read reviews, I just look for my favorite authors (there are quite a few) and start reading. I love that ebooks are such small files and I can keep thousands of them on my Nook, which I modded to use as a fully functioning tablet and have 32gb storage so I'll never run out of room!

  6. I think we had a mini hurricane last night.. 65 mph winds and some serious gusts, lightning non stop and strobing for over 30 minutes, hail...it was pretty violent...all is quiet this morning though

    1. BrentMc11

      BrentMc11

Sounds just like my storm last Friday. Those are hurricane force winds. It seems this summer all storms are violent in nature.

  7. I was ringing a salvation army bell today and Gary Hogeboom put money in the red kettle on my shift! It all relates to football. :) Have a great weekend, I'll be watching the Colts from the edge of my seat Sunday afternoon.

      Nadine

my daughter has a rule, if a bell ringer shows some 'flair' we give them whatever spare change we have. Today the bell ringer said "merry christmas and welcome to wally world" lol, gave him my change

      southwest1

Thank you MCF for donating your free time in the true meaning of Christmas. You are a very kind & compassionate person. :) All my friends on here know the importance of thinking of those less fortunate than themselves all year round. The most important commodity you can give is not money, but time...

    3. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

haha, Nadine, I'll remember to add some flare :) right said SW1, time, talent and treasure..in that order everyone can help make their community a little better. I'm a firm believer of "it takes a village"

...... and to continue this thought, I am not saying I agree with it, just wondering if that has happened? I am sure there are some athletes who's parents may not attend such events, so what are they supposed to do?

    3. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

I wish then it would just be easy, but on week nights parents can only be in 3 or 4 places at once, LOL.. no the district just thinks it's a savings, the parents are banding together, I think we will get this changed, but it seems it will have to be sport by sport, not school wide.. the only team currently bussed both ways in the football team and the parents and fans DO all attend those, but they get a bus back, in fact, HAVE to ride the bus back for "team meeting"

    4. Gramz

      Gramz

It's really INSANE thinking to bus them ONE WAY....

It does seem bizarre this year. Veteran teams continue to fall short & lose while young, upstart team's are winning. Very strange...Like blogger Jules said, it feels like a tectonic and titanic plates shift of the NFL’s elite teams right now.

      Funny Barry.

I've always had a soft spot for the Lions simply because I love their uniforms (and cats). :)

Other than that, they've never been easy to like though. This group is turning me off too.

    3. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

you are all funny guys... I'm still a fan.. 30 NFL player arrests over summer, not all thugs reside in DTown...Berry was "released", shown the door and I appreciate how the org. dealt with that. Also looking forward to see if a hometown 2008 grad. will be on the field kicking for the Bills tonight! I just love football! And not every team can be as classy as the Colts :)

    4. southwest1

      southwest1

Absolutely, MCF root for your Lions. We all have more than 1 NFL team that we follow. I just hope keeps his cool in critical game situations this year. Yes, the Colts exemplify dignity, honor, & class certainly, but we don't exclusively corner the market on decorum either. :)

      BrentMc11

News conference now listed at noon on Colts.com. Not as a story....as a flash. I am with you on you point on using that money to sign players....existing or free agents from other teams. This is a complete mess in terms of our free agents. Most of them are going away soon. This is a total 'gutting.' Not sure the full mentality of what is happening.

    2. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

they did say 12N on Q95.. Saturday says this opens up $ to keep some vetrans. I think the most important vet to keep is #18... we'll see. He also said, wherever Peyton and Irsay just flew in from that Irsay drove PM home from the airport last night and that they were both in good spirits..there's more to this story, much more. I'm still hoping it's just a way to be able to pick up PM as a free agent... :)

  18. just amazed by my 15 year olds irrational fear of the dark which was a huge problem during a long power outage last night.

    1. MAC

      MAC

Perhaps it's an entirely rational fear, did ya ever think of that, huh, huh? lol

We were dark for a full week after the recent hurricane. Your world gets reduced to the length of your flashlight beam, which can feel a bit claustrophobic if you dwell on it. Fortunately we were too busy thinking about how cold, hungry, dirty, bored, frustrated and depressed we were to get to claustrophobia. Perhaps in week two. :)

    2. BrentMc11

      BrentMc11

Right after I read this last evening, our electricity went off and the little ones were scared....I am not a fan of pitch dark, but don't get 'skeered.'

I would if I was in MAC's position for long periods at a time.....

    3. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

sorry about the MAC, I hope all is well now and life is back to normal? That was a scary storm for sure. I just don't know what she thinks is there in the dark that isn't in the light, but she was pretty funny. I was up all night worrying about the candles.
