      My favorite song of hers was "Freeway Of Love/Pink Cadillac" BTW. Not enough musicians use the saxophone anymore.

      Aretha had some serious pipes no doubt. She seemed kind, well informed, smart, & grounded too. It's a shame she's gone.

      @SW1 I cant answer for him but I love everything about Thanksgiving. I ate enough Turkey, Ham, Mash Potatoes, and Mac N Cheese to feed the Colts O.Line LOL. Pumpkin Pie is my favorite! I had that too.

      I just googled this since I don't live in Indiana PT. Whoa, it so sad to hear that 2 well respected softball teammates perished so suddenly with an impaired driver that hit them & tragedy resulted.

      Losing a child in a senseless way is like no other pain in the world to a grieving mother, father, relative, or close friend. My sincerest condolences to both families & teammates who were tight with these 2 men.

      southwest1

      @PrincetonTiger:

      I can see why such devastating strikes so close to home in this case. As an educator of young minds & future adults, we all wanna witness their success in life down the road. We never wanna see that promising potential cut short far too early.

      When a person has a direct connection to both parents as well, it cuts right through your heart & straight to the bone. Whenever no words can suffice in a situation such as one like this, all anyone can do is just hug them.

      I wouldn't wish this level of agony on anyone. So sorry for your loss PT. Death notifications of upstanding students/close knit family members is the worst feeling in the world.

      I never wanna tell anyone how to grieve. I am truly sorry to hear such melancholy news my friend.

      Wow... What an awful story about George Stinney. Unfortunately convictions like that were very common back in those days. It is very sad to read.

      In 2005, the Supreme Court found it unconstitutional to execute individuals under age 18.

      southwest1

      Is this status update a acknowledgement of the Grammies as a music celebration PT? I only ask because, if so, I never watch that particular show. It probably has something to do with the fact that light pop isn't my thing & I can't stand singer Taylor Swift who is not a good musician at all & she thinks she a white, Oprah Winfrey or something.

      Or is it Grandmother's special day? If so, cool & happy birthday!

I would have replied to your status update earlier, but I have been busy lately with other family related matters etc. etc. I hope that you have fond memories of Mr. Lankford that make you smile when you think about him BTW. I googled his name to learn more about him. Again, sorry to hear that you lost a friend you liked & looked up too PT.
