  1. yeah have to look at is as a whole vs how he’s doing it. its effectively trading a 2nd and Paye for Lattimore and a third. Not sure if I’d do that or not. I still would prefer such a move as as a third for Lattimore. then I’d be all about that packers trade of recouping the third with a trade down in the 2nd assuming we went WR with the first pick
  2. I would but would want a deal where it was a third round pick, but couldn’t see Saints doing that. Woukd have a high end CB and still have our top two picks
  3. I can see why you’re getting lampooned Which specific prospect are you saying he should get? You listed four. Are you saying he should work trades to get all four? If he drafts one of those guys you’ll then praise Ballard? this team was a couple plays from making the playoffs with Gardner Minshew…. GARDNER MINSHEW! Shane Steichen knows ball. Let’s see what happens. side note, I’m fine trading for one of those guys (prob not Bowers but fine taking him at 15). But has to be realistic. Cardinals are going to want a haul for such a move (seen trades suggested here that are comical such as our first this year, first next and Alec Pierce. Why would the cardinals do that?)
  4. I could see a trade back IF we end up picking a WR. Talent is insane this year to where there will be elite guys from all over the place at the position. But I’m also fine taking a WR or Bowers at 15 too
  5. Some info on Diggs: 91 players ran at least 200 routes from Week 8 onward. Stefon Diggs ranks per @FantasyPtsData: -52nd in YPRR (1.55) -52nd in 1st downs per route run (0.077) This despite still ranking top-12 in target share. Serious regression on tape + locker room concerns. I’m not on the Bowers hate train. Great prospect. Nothing like Diggs situation.
  6. Julio was coming off injury/playing through it. I just don’t see it as a slam dunk. Wide range of outcomes here including complete disaster
  7. They just resigned Schultz to a solid deal. Don’t see that happening especially since they don’t have a first round pick anymore
  8. Diggs was a lot younger and better than. Last year he was showing definite signs of regression and also exhibited classic Diggs drama about his lack of involvement in the offense even though they were winning games when he was downplayed in the offensive game plan. of course, he was the number one on the Bills and his role with Texans is likely different as a number two or maybe number three. However, how will he take being relegated? Who knows. Can see either way. Him being awesome or a massive headache and not the worth the draft capital sent and money spent on him with him ushered out of Houston next offseason after he’s turned 31 (He’s 30 turning 31 this season) that’s what makes the NFL fun. Never know. Could be awesome or could be Julio to the Titans. Saw tons of whining about colts not getting in on it and turns out, he was washed.
  9. Brian Thomas Jr. for sure. Have to support your young QB with weapons. BTjr is closer to Harrison, Nabers, Odunze than whoever you see as the 5th reciever is to BTjr. Kind of a moot point as Brian Thomas will be off the board before 15. He’s getting steamed up
  10. Ones were able to confirm (heard most of this on a podcast) are yards per route run and contested catch rate are not good. The yards per route run while not terrible, sub-par. Yards after catch per reception also not great. AD’s breakout age also concerning as the earlier the breakout the higher the predictor to future success. AD does have a good average depth of target, but that seems completely negated by the above. in contrast, his teammate Xavier shines better on the both the advanced and typical counting stats. If was gonna bet on one of them, give me Xavier. ideally, we land Brian Thomas but it seems he’s getting steamed up draft boards so what at the onset seemed realistic, now seems less likely
  11. Pretty sure Mitchell’s advanced metrics have multiple red flags. I would pass on him I think. Dude looks like an athletic freak though so can see the appeal
  12. The talent in the class is significantly better than Pierce, but let’s say they do. I can accept that as the process of targeting a position of need when the draft’s talent happens to align with that need makes sense. Doling out multiple picks including a first for Tee and extending him top dollar… I just don’t see it, and I like Tee!
  13. The Jeudy trade and subsequent contract looks terrible at the moment. What looks like on paper as one of the best WR classes in some time, and we are gonna trade our first and then some Tee… Hard pass for me. I’d rather just draft a WR
  14. They did something about it as their team was absolutely awful after their franchise QB became a rapist. Then got insane draft capital for the rapist. The problem was the Colts were in better shape when Luck quit so the team took a lot longer to bottom out and even with that, they still weren’t as bad as the Texans. If Luck had decided to commit crimes like Watson and demanded a trade where the Colts could’ve collected an insane amount of draft capital, they’d be even better shape. Unfortunately for the Colts brass, Luck didn’t become a rapist like Deshaun.
  15. Well, they got lucky their franchise QB turned out to be a rapist and demand a trade which netted them the god awful teams and additional draft capital to do said moves. Would’ve been lucky for the Colts if Luck had done that instead of just quit to where the Colts got absolutely nothing for that. Texans did get lucky. The staff of the Panthers wanted Stroud, but the owner went executive decision and overruled them. Had that not happened, Stroud is in Carolina, Bryce likely in Houston and the situations look completely different. again though, they got extremely lucky their franchise QB became a rapist, demanded a trade, and then immediately became injury prone and no longer talented as a QB
  16. AKA you’re done as a reporter of any kind lol
  17. There’s conflicting reports which means some folks sources are saying one thing while other peoples sources are saying another. Doesn’t mean anybody is wrong or lying, that’s what they are being told
  18. Some mocks for the Colts are dream come true scenarios, but also unrealistic. Seen Brock Bowers as noted above. Seen Malik Nabers… Can’t see either of those happening, but would love to be wrong. Hockensom has 95 catches last year…. Absolute stud. pitts been disappointing for sure, but seems a lot of that was the previous coach focusing on scheming touches for Khadarrel Hodges and Jonnu Smith instead of his elite talents. No surprise Arthur Smith got fired
  19. That would be terrible for the Colts. You don’t trade a first for an old, aging WR that’s just lastbyear had heavy regression in the season.
  20. Give it time. This same GM you’re lauding took Raegor over Justin Jefferson. Also took Arcega-Whiteside over many other better options. Credit due on getting AJ Brown but that was also a comical trade by the Titans GM at the time which led to his firing and now Vrabel being fired. Ultimately, got lucky in a way. Right place, right time which a lot of people don’t want to admit, is part of the game. Have to get lucky and over time, that should work out. For example, if the Vikings offered Justin Jefferson for the Colts first rounder (and that’s all), I guarantee you Ballard makes the move. That’s basically what happened with AJ Brown because the now fired Titans GM didn’t want to pay him. Also, that trade never would’ve been an option for Ballard as an in division opponent
  21. Early betting money has heavily been on Texans for what that is worth. Went from colts as slight favorites at -1.5 to already going o Colts as slight underdogs at +1.5
