  1. You don’t get a TD for taking it to the house for a two point conversion. Nobody can get a TD jn the play after scoring a touchdown. At most can score two points by making it to an end zone OR can get one point by successfully kicking it between the uprights
  2. The movie Rookie of the Year is loosely based on Anthony Richardson’s injury. Expect super abilities next year when the sling comes off. 🔒
  3. They traded their first to get Young. They are riding Young at least another year
  4. Florio had a good article which suggested essentially, it was potentially unanimous as everybody knew Tepper wanted Young. Tepper said he has full veto authority to make the final decision. So if you know he wants Young and has final say regardless, let’s say Young. Also pointed out how Young is short and very common for many NFL types to auto-rule out a short QB but apparently not any of that existed within the Panthers organization
  5. Will be interesting to see Stroud’s growth as the Texans OC is almost a lock to be gone as a head coach. Looking like so many openings so people will want to poach him and that will likely mean some further decimating of the offensive staff of the Texans
  6. He won’t be, but Shane Steichen should be in consideration for coach of the year. Winning games with Minshew and putting up a high number of points.
  7. Jeff Saturday is a good dude. Bought a cameo from him once and it was awesome. team looked better under him than Reich. Never forget!
  8. This is hilarious. Society is completely set up in favor of billionaires.
  9. im more concerned that according to this list, AR’s first injury occurred July 5th 1905. Didn’t realize Richardson was over a 100 years old. I always prefer drafting younger guys as the ceiling is higher vs a ready made product with limited room for growth. I mean if he didn’t figure it out 90 years later in 95, he surely won’t elevate his game in 2024. BUST!
  10. thay was a tough game. Niners out of the bye. With the Jags it’s that they’ve only beat one team that’s currently above .500. Colts have more than that. Lawrence not looking like he’s elevated his game. They are still better than the Colts but it’s perplexing that their performance hasn’t necessarily been where expected
  11. that one was highway robbery too. Painful. Rams game was also very winnable…
  12. it’s all hindsight analysis at this point. Had they traded up and taken Stroud and he was like Young, it would look disastrous. I think pre-draft they did the right move. Multiple QB prospects with pros and cons. No clear sure fire top prospect. In that scenario, you hold and let the chips fall where they may.
  13. Correct in that they are not accurate. Injuries are almost always flukey. Random. We don’t like to admit it but it’s generally true. Some are going to be statistically unlucky and some will be statistically lucky. I say generally. Some folks do have underlying issues which bring about more injury. Think ACL tears. Common I get compensation injuries the following year
  14. Again, seems people buying into injury prone narratives. Generally poor to do but especially off a small NFL sample size. Saw more from Richardson than Levis in their two small sample sizes. anybody could miss a season at a moment’s notice. Happened to Brady and Manning. CMC was always hurt until he wasn’t. Most here would’ve said CMC was someone to fade as he’s injury prone. Since then, not missed a game and been a beast. again, fade the injury prone narratives as they are generally not accurate takes
  15. There’s no way colts could’ve gotten a 4th out of Minshew. Colts are scoring but that’s primarily because Shane Steichen knows ball and offense. If Reich and/or Saturday and crew were coaching in this situation, the offense wouldn’t be scoring nearly this much
  16. The AR injury just really ruined the year and potentially next year. This was meant to be an education year and if we win great, but more about building up Richardson. Saw some good stuff early on but now have to wait until next season. Disappointing. Steichen clearly knows ball. The silver lining is despite how raw he was, Richardson showed some real promise. So now even longer off-season to work. Could see greater gains. The defense is trash though.
  17. From an article: ”Between 2015 and 2019, there was an average of just 6.2 total players across the league tagged per season. Since then, NFL teams have averaged 11 franchise tags per offseason, including 15 used in 2020 across the league.” So if I’m not a player that is likely to be tagged (which is 99% of players), why would I strike over that? Also, seems most players that get tagged end up getting long, term deals. Have no numbers on that as didn’t bother to research but I feel fairly confident that’s the case.
  18. Well, that means no Jeudy. That would be a fireable offense to send a 2nd rounder for Jeudy
  19. Not the hugest fan, but a day 3 pick (a fifth?) or do what’s the latest rage, a day three pick swap (a fourth for Jeudy and a 5th).
  20. Someone is injury prone until they are not. Someone is not injury prone until they are injured. Injuries are generally fluky. Not long ago, Christian McCaffrey was the most injury prone player. He’s since been completely healthy and dominating. Fade the injury prone narrative in general regardless of who the player is.
  21. Optimism quite high here. I just don’t see it.
  22. 1-3 looks like most likely outcome. 2-2 or 0-4 also possible. Imagine will be underdogs in the next four games
